jokeykid - I've just had a look in yesterdays match day magazine and the Away Ticket News it states... Opening hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday. (Saturday times vary). Am I right in guessing your probably after an AFC Wimbledon ticket?
I'm hoping to get a couple of tickets for the AFC game first thing tomorrow. Looks like only 750 were made available though so not sure how many will be left after season ticket holders have had a week to buy em.
Beckenham - what I find confusing, I've seen people posting on other sites that they have a large number of tickets for the Wimbledon game. However, I have seen it written up twice now that it is one ticket per person, I thought that included season ticket holders. I'm just wondering if any one can clarify this situation?
got my ticket last Monday ( also one for my son ) The office asked for details of our season tickets before we could purchase. I don't expect many tickets to be available to non season ticket holders - you could always try online ticketing before the office officially opens
Ah, I see the ticket news has been updated. One ticket per person apparently. Not ideal. http://mobile.gillinghamfootballclub.com/runtime/gillingham/article?articleId=1177488
Last time I used that, they screwed up my credit card, apparently when transactions are processed over the internet, there is an electronic communication between the bank and the vendor. If this communication is not responded to correctly by the vendor, your card is put on hold after so many attempts to protect your account. After that I never used the on line transaction facility again.
yes thats exactly what i am after and it is one per person only and has been for season ticket holders as well. they said to me there was 100 or so left prior to the burton game and they wouldnt be selling them after the game
jokey - Shame I didn't know, I'm not going Saturday, if I had realised I could have got you one with my season ticket.
How long ago was this ? ( I've never used online ticketing ) Did you contact the club regarding the matter - to ensure no repetition. I can remember when we were in the Championship ( oh it seems like a life time ago ... nostalgic sigh ) .. that, from what I could see - for non season ticket holders it was a shambles trying to get tickets EVEN for home games. If we reach those dizzy heights again we need to be more professional on this subject.
thanks for the offer, not to worry i've got my sleeping bag and off to camp out joking getting up early and head up to the ticket office, luckily im not working tomz ps they dont normally do away tickets online
tbh - I cannot remember if I contacted the club about it or not, I think it was last season but at my age time goes so quick - lol. I think what happened was I then purchased my tickets via the telephone and mentioned it then. My limited knowledge of credit cards, suggests there are several companies this happens with. Airlines is another one, something to do with what systems they are using, I'm not going to mention the airline here but it is a very well known one. I actually did complain to this company but got the usual brush off, hence have not used them since. If I remember when I internet researched this problem in regards to airlines, it from memory was a well reported problem, also be weary of hire car companies. Obviously I am only speaking from a genuine experience with the Gills on line problem, before anyone starts seeking any libel actions and I'm sure this transaction issue will be registered somewhere with my bank. What I'm saying is your own personal experience puts you off using it again, for all I know it could have been a one off but all the same it happened to me. The best advice I would give is if it don't work first time, don't try it again.
