    Peeps,

I'm looking to go to Anfield for either the Swansea game or the Anzi game, I want to take a 2 year old with me - what's the ticketing procedure? Does he need his own seat or can he share mine on my lap?

Any help on this would be good, I've only been on my own before..

Really not sure. Never been in that position. Probably best to call the club. I know you'll be hard pushed to get him a pint in the Park <laugh>

Wear a shirt a size too big. Shove him under your shirt as you enter the stadium. Tell anyone has asks, you like pies.

Don't think under fives can even get in. Quite why you'd want to take a two year old is beyond me, they won't even remember it in years to come, and you've stressed out trying to make it happen, and it will be for nothing unless you take photos, and it may even traumatise the sprog, and give them issues in later life. Wouldn't be putting your name down for any father of the year awards <whistle>

if your taking children i would suggest going on the anfield tour, i did this last year with my two kids however they were were not as young as your kid.
i had to buy child tickets for the game which cost around 15 quid per child, best to call the tickets line and find out before you go mate.
i personally would not take a child that young unless they have been around a stadia atmosphere before as it can be a bit overwhelming for them.

I took my boy to his first game a few weeks ago. He is 6 and absolutely obsessed with football. It was the Fulham game so 5 goals, lots of action, United hanging on at the end...and yet I could tell he was a bit bored in the 2nd half. No way would I take a 2 year old!

I think you have to be 8 to get on the tour... did a google, and that figure flashed past me at some point, but don't hold me to it.

The last time i went to a game I sat at the top of the annie road end its had kids and they look as though they have enjoyed it. My little 'un (he's 2 nearly 3) is football mad. I took him to see a local rugby match the other week (tiny scale compared to Liverpool) and he loved it. If it's completely inadvisable to take him to Anfield I might start small and take him to WHCS to see Colchester. 3000 fans in a 10000 seater stadium wont be anywhere near as intense. I just want him to experience the things I wished for as a kid. I didn't get to go to Anfield until I was 19 years old and I regret not going sooner

Plus since the FA Cup final he hasn't stopped shutting up about Chelsea

My brother is a Chelsea fan from Colchester.

    It doesn't stop there....

He was a Man Utd fan up until 2007 and changed his mind when he went to Stamford Bridge.

To be fair to him he'd only been to Old Trafford once and since switching to Chelsea he goes about 10-11 times a season. He said the main reason he changed sides was because it was easier for him to go to games and it had nothing to do with Glazers and Chelsea winning things...

Get him a City shirt for Christmas in readiness for his inevitable next switch.
