If I recall it correctly, the reason given for AA's proposal to change the Club's name from Hull City AFC to Hull Tigers, was that we needed to attract sponsorship. I've seen figures of £1m and £2m given.

Now, if AA had no more money to put into the Club, where did the approx. £13m come from in January (to sign Jelavic and Long)?

OK - Long was sold for £12m and Boydy for £2m, but an enormous amount has been spent in this last Transfer Window. Where did it come from?
Answer: from the PL money (for 16th position), from the FA Cup trail, and from TV money.

Are City not attracting the necessary money to succeed at the current level? We've just got Abel Hernandez and Hatem Ben Arfa - probably down to A) Steve Bruce as manager; and B) our much improved profile.

Where does Hull Tigers figure in what has happened/is happening?

All we've achieved up to date has been done so as Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers. We have progressed steadily over a period of time culminating in a Cup Final & European football. Hull Tigers has had no influence what-so-ever on this success & progression.

Less than two weeks ago many of the pro Hull Tiger clan were professing us to be a potential top 10 side, again as Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers.

Changing our name to Hull Tigers will not increase income, it will not aid progression, it will not bring success & it will not increase exposure any more than Hull City AFC, nickname The Tigers will. It only stands to derail the excellent progress we've made recently.

Changing our name to Hull Tigers will feed & satisfy the ego of a bitter old man on his childlike mission of one-up-man-ship against the local council.

We are financially OK, so far, it seems. We're not, though, in a position for AA to get the Allamhouse loan/s back, even though we're ticking over.

Does "If I can't get my way, I'm selling up" translate as "I've had enough. I didn't realise how complicate this business was, when I posed as the saviour of Hull City AFC"?.

I've had enough. I'm bailing out, BUT I AM NOT GOING TO LOSE FACE! NOT AT ALL..........

It doesn't matter what money we've already got in tuos argument. The point is he's a lying ****. There's no chance any sponsor wants us to change our name. Someone should have put him on the spot and asked what company it was.
