It's a long way up for you to get on those greyhounds isn't it? … what if you fall off?

Must admit my in-laws watch recordings of F1 races. They are racing mad.

That's not a problem mate, I race on the flat. The hurdles are too dangerous.

I’d ban them from playing it.

They are defacing the Beautiful Game.

People may think that I hate the institution of the BBC without reason, but last night I caught an example of their inherent dishonesty which justifies it :emoticon-0121-angry

Inadvertently catching one of their repetitive plugs for the England Wonen’s team ...the ad showed the women scoring goals ...and then cut to scenes of normal male fans celebrating joyously on the terraces. But these shots were clearly taken from English Premier league games, NOT tart’s football.

To test my theory I just watched on line the England goal v the Argentina women last night ....sure enough....a stadium that was far from full...and women & kids screaming high pitched at the goal. Barely a man in the stadium...unless you count some of the butch BBC female pundits ?

Lardi's post about Spitting Image is a reminder that there hasn't been good satire on telly since then. It was one of those programs that people stayed in to watch. Maybe it would upset too many people in these days of personality cult politics.
