This is a complete non story, along with the “selling the NHS” ****e from this morning. It’s been cooked up by Seamus Milne to try to deflect from the fact that Corbyn’s “leadership” is now on life support

Except for climate change deniers the most important debate should be the one on C4 tomorrow.

On which Neither Johnson nor Farage are expected to take part. Shockin, juss shockin. There's an excuse for Farage, he's a climate-change denier, but what is Johnson's excuse? I know why, because he doesn't need to to beat Corbyn, but what is his public excuse?

I was told that Boris (in particular) and the Conservative Party (in general) are totally cheesed off with C4 because of their clearly biased anti BREXIT output that they are boycotting C4 wherever possible.

Indeed, but what is his public excuse? His absence belittles the issue which is to me the most important of our times. And I don't understand how it has become a left/right issue, but it has.

It wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't on C4... Boris would be there <ok> … Change the programme to BBC1 and problem solved :)

I am sure that C4 will do the same old tired tactic of having an empty podium where they say Boris should be <doh>

He really should be there. He's the Prime Minister, and it's so important it should transcend politics. Two of my daughter's friends had baby daughters last week, and I really hope that they didn't listen to the climatologist on the Today program answering the question of what a child born today could expect to see happen in their lifetime.

Never doubt the ability of mankind to polarise everything.

When faced with the imminent fall of Constantinople to the Ottoman Turks, the Greeks were offered papal support if they’d close the schism between the eastern and western churches.

First minister Notoras declared that he’d rather be ruled by the “Ottoman turban than the Latin mitre”.

And this is why i will be voting for none of the above.
Your telling me the prime minister doesnt want to go on channel 4 to discuss climate change.
All because the conservatives have got the hump with channel 4.
The conservatives should hold thiers in a school playground

A wise decision by Big Dom to keep Boris away from this debate.

For a thread headed ''quality TV Programmes' it is a bit strange to include anything from CH4... they are 'The Sun' of TV Channels

CH4 refused to let Michael Gove to appear for the Tories, Gove is the Minister for the Cabinet Office who set policy for the Conservatives and the former Environment Secretary... a far better person to speak for the Government on this issue than Boris... so why wasn't Gove acceptable? ….. the answer ….. political bias by CH4 …. and their rather left wing News Editor Ben der Pear.

The Conservative Party have successfully shifted the focus from environmental issues to C4, as demonstrated by this post.

It's not the Conservative Party that have done that …. it's CH4 <ok>

Gove was a more than worthy alternative for Boris but CH4 wanted to make a point and show off their ice sculptures..

It was leaders debate. Cummings did not want to risk Johnson, so Gove turned up at the last minute complete with film crew. Now everyone is talking about C4, not the debate, which was actually very good. A triumph for Big Dom.

Which law says it had to be a Leader's debate? Alternatively, under what authority can CH4 demand the attendance of the PM at a debate?.. CH4 can say that they are having a live debate on the Environment at their Studios at a certain time and request the Conservative Party to send a representative … it is up to the Conservative Party to decide who they wish to send NOT CH4
