Does anyone know exactly the qualification for Europe. I know top 4 for champions league (or top 3 & winners) I think we have 3 in Europa league Is this the league cup winners if not in champions league, fa cup winners (runners up if winners in champions league) & 5th place. If places not fllled then lower league placing qualify If this is right then if arsenal win the cup and finish 5th then does 7th place qualify Which at present is manure. Please let this not be right as I don't want them to qualify for Europe, I'd rather have hull
I thought FA Cup runners-up would get Europa in those circumstances. That's how Stoke qualified a couple of years back.
It depends where Man U finish & then the rules will be amended to include them in a European competition
I think it´s... 1, 2, 3 & 4 CL (4 in the CL qualies) - 5 EL, FA cup winners EL & lge cup winners EL. If winners of the cups have already qualified for CL then the runner-up goes into the EL. Plus a team goes into the EL on the `Fair play rule` I could be very wrong mind
So lets just win the Premiership next season - wont be any confusion which Euro competition we will be in
It was on the dull v arsenal game that if arsenal don't get champions league place and win the FA cup then 7th spot becomes a Europa league place.
... also the winners of the Europa league from next season get a Champions League place ... so really worth being in it now etc ... hopefully will stop the bollox about it being a distraction for the big boys etc ...
