He is now at QPR. - Action Images Sandro might be heading back to Brazil as his downward spiral continues in England. The Brazilian website IG states that the Brazilian defensive midfielder may be on his way back to his native country in the January transfer window. Internacional would be interested to get one of their star players from the 2010 Copa Libertadores campaign back. Sandro first went to Tottenham, but, like at QPR later, he never really became an established player in the English Premier League. A loan would also be possiblity.
Unless we've a very good replacement lined up I don't see this happening, main thing we need is him fit & on the pitch.
He seems a good player but he comes across too soft, forever injured and lucky to get on the park on a regular basis ............. or am l being too harsh?
I don't think a Brazilian team will pay him what we do to be injured. Whether we paid £6m or £10m for him, I think we have to give him a bit more time.
I remember he had a good spell at Spurs and saved a certain goal for us recently when he slipped over How that makes him a good player I see not
The report says that he hasn't established himself here, but that's because of injury and not poor form surely? He would be a better version of Henry imo if he could get fit and stay fit. (Although I'm a big fan of Henry who has been one of our best and most consistent performers imo). However, his propensity for injury has to be a major concern.
I have seen absolutely nothing so far to make me desperate for him to stay but assuming he does it will at least give HR the option of 'resting' Barton. On paper Henry, Sandro, Krancjar and Hoilett should make an ideal midfield. Shame that doesn't look like translating to actual reality.
He's probably the best all-round midfielder we have. Shame he's only competed about 2 games so far but at least, in this instance, Arry's trust is reasonably placed. The article seems reaching and groundless to be honest.
I was away in Japan for 2.5 months recently and missed most of the season so far. I was away from 2nd of October until 11th of December. What was he like on the pitch for us? I did see him once or twice earlier in the season but he looked a bit lost to me.
