QPR's Cisse caught up in cinema row with fans and faces police probe
QPR striker Djibril Cisse faces a police probe after a fan was allegedly attacked by a gang outside a cinema.

The former France international is alleged to have got in a row with Geoffrey Candia, who according to The Sun, approached him at the box office asking for a picture.

When Candia, 20, and three friends began shouting the star's name, Cisse asked them to quieten down because he was taking his wife Jude to see American Pie: Reunion.

An hour into the film, it is alleged that a stranger demanded that Candia leave the Vue Cinema in Park Royal, West London. He told The Sun: 'Outside we were surrounded by about eight men. They had been waiting in cars.
'They started shouting, saying they were going to break our legs and kill us.'
Candia claimed one thug kicked him hard in the leg before they fled.
Police are viewing CCTV footage of the alleged incident before deciding whether to speak to French international Cisse, 30.
Candia, of Harrow, North West London, said when he first spotted father-of-three Cisse he wasn’t sure it was him so he shouted his name.
Lifeline: Cisse scored a late winner against Stoke to boost QPR's chances of survival
He added: 'He turned around furiously and said, ‘Why are you having a go at me?’

'I said I wasn’t. I just wanted a picture. He said he just wanted a quiet night.'

On Friday night Cisse’s spokesman said: 'There were four guys who started being abusive at the entrance. They were shouting ‘Cisse’.

'He went in and watched the film and they came to apologise. The guys had been a bit lairy. There was no altercation.'

If that's all true then Cisse could have handled that far better. These pro footballers are so vein its cringe worthy.

Two things that strike me about this

1.On Friday night Cisse’s spokesman said: 'There were four guys who started being abusive at the entrance. They were shouting ‘Cisse’
If been abusive means chanting somebodys name we must all be pretty abusive people..

    2. I presume this can be classed as a red card for cisse so back to scoring goals on sunday....

I saw this earlier today - how on Earth can anyone be unsure if they've just spotted Cisse - he's as unique as they come. There's so many gaps in this that it can only be a panicky story to flog a few more papers before the season's out.

Also, he takes his wife to see American Pie? I thought French folk were extremely snobby about their cinema.

"The super soaraway, throwaway Sun", where truth and fiction merge into one, depending on what will look good in the "news"paper.

Cisse looks more like the performing arts type of fan than a cinema fan.
