QPR winger set for Nottingham Forest switch

LEE Cook has joined Nottingham Forest on trial with a view to a possible loan move.

The QPR winger has made just one appearance at Loftus Road this season - in the Carling Cup defeat to Rochdale - and was left out of Neil Warnock's 25-man squad submitted to the Premier League.

Cook has been plagued by injuries in recent years, and Forest boss Steve McClaren wants the 29-year-old to prove himself before making the switch to the City Ground.

Rangers boss Warnock has vowed to repay any loan fee for the player if he breaks down during his spell with the Championship outfit.

Good luck to him. Sadly I don't think he's at that level any more though.

Goes from bad to worse for poor old Lee doesn't it?

Injuries, loss of form and now... McClaren!

I'm actually not sure what this means. Surely there is no 'loan fee' other than the players wages. And if push came to shove it would interesting to see how a 'break down' would be measured by anyone - one man's minor injury is another man's crap performance.

Yep, good luck to Cookie. Think he could do well for Forest. They have Hill, Camp, Blackstock and now Cook.

I agree. League One would be roughly his level now.

Maybe not, but they made their decision and should stick with it.
