Well as all the Hoilett threads disappeared I thought I'd open another one. What's going on NUTS? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- QPR aim to beat Everton and Sunderland to Rovers star Hughes' offer for the Canadian forward trumps the Toffees' bid - but Borussia Monchengladbach are in the frame too please log in to view this image QPR hope to beat off Evertonâs interest to land Blackburn winger Junior Hoilett. Rangers boss Mark Hughes has identified the Canadian as the perfect man to bolster his squad and has offered more money than the Goodison club. Hoilett, 22, is quitting relegated Rovers as his contract is up this summer. Rovers are due compensation as he has been part of their academy since he was 13. Hoilett is a wanted man, with Borussia Monchengladbach and Sunderland also eyeing him. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-want-junior-hoilett-of-blackburn-1135312?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter As far as I know he signed for Borussia Monchengladbach a month ago.
Cheers for clearing that up Sooper They have sensible wages in Germany (except at Bayern) so I'm not surprised. Thought they had signed a great replacement for Reus at first. I would very much like to see him in hoops. We're in need of a pacy and tricky winger.
This signing now makes no sense to me, we have Taarabt, Park, Mackie and SWP out wide. Unless of course SWP is on his way.
Park was apparently bad last season when played in CM and i dont see Mackie displacing any of the front men. He would be 2nd choice RW for me now.
The way we're going with signings, there's going to a few that don't make the 25. Also, Mackie's new contract means we'll get a transfer fee. Don't get me wrong. I don't want him going anywhere. If all our players had his commitment, I suspect we wouldn't have been in the position we found ourselves in at the end of the season.
I can't see MH letting a player with Mackie's commitment leave, we don't need the money and a few injuries would see Jamie being invaluable. I think the West Ham story is journo crap if Gold's tweet was anything to go by...
