Swansea have won their last four games, and last dropped points in their 2-2 draw at Elland Road on March 29th. They sit 11th on 57 points, and their top scorer is Liam Cullen with 10 so far, followed by Zan Vipotnik with 7. As for us, after our win against Preston at Deepdale, we have nothing to play for in our final three games other than pride. I'd now like to see the youngsters given a chance to prove themselves, and get experience playing in a full stadium. After Monday's game, we welcome first placed Burnley next Saturday, before finishing our season at the Stadium of Light, against 4th placed Sunderland, so I think it is unlikely we'll get much from those two games. The only thing I'd add is having watched the full 90 minutes against Preston, when we did put them under any pressure there were no options in the final third until Frey came on in the 74th minute. Kolli improved things, but Yang Min-Hyeok supported by Dembele, Madsen and Saito seemed a very light-weight attack, and we won very little in the air or in any physical battles. I would like to see Frey start and create some trouble for the Swansea defence from the beginning. Team news and manager comments to go up when/if on the official. I hope everyone has a great Easter, and for those who'll get to HQ on Monday, enjoy and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Great, relegation gone & forgotten, we can cut loose and play with gay abandon! Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Here’s our match thread - please feel free to comment https://not606.com/threads/qpr-v-swansea-city.417814/#post-18319187
We can all just enjoy seeing Cardiff drop further into the mire while our utterly irrelevant match finishes 1-1. It’ll be nice.
Only team news I can see is that Paul Smyth has been suspended for three games due to an incident the ref missed during the game on Friday. If I remember correctly, did he stamp on their player? Anyone else know what it is for?
A sly punch apparently. Though the ref saw it off the ball and gave a free kick so they’re really making it up as they go along as these are meant to be for things missed by the referee. Not that it really matters. Kolli and Yang on the wings perhaps. Dembele was **** again on Friday so if he is to play then through the middle preferably.
Tis my last game of the season as I can’t do Burnley and would sooner do a week half board in Rafah than get up at the time required to get to Sunderland. A fine season again full of memories.
This might be a tougher game than I first thought. I've just looked at the form guide and The Swans have won their last four and kept a clean sheet in all of them.
I think we are going to see a cameo for one of our youngsters ( Petrie or Sutton) This is the ideal match to blood a youngster.
