Match Preview;
Thought I'd get this thread up nice and early to help start moving on from yesterday. Felt our Match day thread yesterday turned into the 'Sunderland fans critiquing our opinions thread', so to start with...Swansea fans are welcome, but we support QPR on here, and will want QPR to win. We may show bias at times, what is written below may even, show just a tint, a tiny little tint, of bias towards QPR.
Swansea head to Loftus Road in pretty poor form, having not won in the league so far this season (two draws and four losses)...they sit 22nd with 2 points. They have scored a total of six goals in those six games, with Joël Piroe and Jerry Yates both with two goals, although Piroe has since departed for Leeds. They've conceded eleven, which is actually exactly the same goal stats as us. Their new manager, Michael Duff, came in from Barnsley in June, and promised their season would properly start in early September after signing Josh Tymon, Kristian Pedersen, Bashir Humphreys and Jamal Lowe. Since then, they've lost two in a row, both to local(ish) rivals Bristol City then arch rivals Cardiff City.
As for us, yesterday was a frustrating one wasn't it! An early red is always going to create an up hill struggle, and eventually Sunderland's class, helped by the extra man, shone through and they got the win. Willock and Dykes started from the bench, and I felt Chair was often looking up for options, and on not finding any, started running into a wall of Sunderland players. He was missing Dykes as an option. The only option, at times, was Sinclair Armstrong, but he had at least one man on him; on his back, holding his arms, hugging him round the waist, pushing him out the way...and the ref blew every time he managed to shrug his marker off and get enough space to receive the ball. He needs to get wise as to how to use his strength effectively, without getting accused of fouling the majority of the time he touches the ball.
Manager comments and team news to go up when on the official, enjoy if you are going to be at HQ, and as always...
...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
