After winning the league cup in 2013, Swansea even experienced European football, beating Valencia 0-3 at the Mestalla Stadium before going out in the last 32 to Napoli. After Monks sacking as manager in 2015 they went through Francesco Guidolin, Bob Bradley, Paul Clement and Carlos Carvalhal. They now have Graham Potter in charge, in his first job in England after managing in Sweden. Swansea go into this games after two 3-1 wins, one against Stoke and against Boro. After our draw against Milwall most are now pretty confident we won't get sucked into the relegation scrap, but a few more points would be lovely just to eliminate that thought from the back of our minds. We'll need to watch out for Oliver McBurnie, who is on 19 goals already this season, so obviously poses a threat. I'll add more team news when/if it goes on the official, but only another 3 games at Loftus Road left this year, so enjoy those who can make it, and... COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!! From the official, not much team news really...; R’s face in form Swans John Eustace will take charge of his first home game as caretaker manager against Swansea on Saturday. Following the R’s disappointing defeat at Norwich last weekend, Eustace’s side produced a much improved performance against Millwall at the Den in the week, which saw them come away with a point. QPR's gaffer will be hoping they can back that performance up with a win against Swansea but Rangers know they are coming up against a team that have won their last three games and one that still has an outside chance of making the play-offs. The Swans are situated in 14th place, seven points off the play-offs with six games remaining. However, on the field, supporters of Swansea City will be fairly satisfied with their transitional campaign which has seen a high turnover of players and a new manager brought in. Graham Potter has tried to implement an attractive style of football to help Swansea re-find their identity which was previously so successful in establishing themselves as a Premier league outfit. There has been some teething problems throughout the season, which has not allowed Swansea to consistently pick up victories, but the south Welsh side are finishing the campaign well and will be going all out for victory at Loftus Road. When the two teams met at the Liberty Stadium back in September, it ended up being a comfortable 3-0 victory to the hosts.
Going to this expecting a positive atmosphere to push the boys to safety. They’ve beaten some big teams this season and they’ve got it in them to beat Swansea. I’ll take that all back if Tim is unveiled.
That nutmeg on Allen!! Oh my, but I loved watching him. I'd take a draw right now against an in form, good Swansea side.
For me it's not just the nutmeg, its the way his shoulders drop in despair when he realizes he's been done.
That nutmeg is classic. Beautiful footwork and something that gave every defender nightmares that year. All that was good about AT that year and the season.
Both Adel's nutmeg and Kiwis lass in the photo are things of beauty.... Please R's get a win....I don't care how it happens but please just win....
I am going to miss my first game of the season today (what a relief), we are off to Kalmar (2.5 h drive) to see some proper football (hopefully!). Come on u Rrrrssss! get these three needed points.
AT showed more skill and offered more entertainment in that 5 min clip than I’ve seen at HQ all season.
This is a tough game, Swans looked excellent when they played Citeh in the Cup, we'll have to find a bit more up front to avoid another home defeat...
By West London Sport 13/04/2019 please log in to view this image Angel Rangel has been recalled to the QPR starting line-up against his former club. Joel Lynch is dropped, with Rangel returning at right-back and Darnell Furlong moving to the centre of defence. There is no Geoff Cameron in Rangers’ matchday squad – he’s replaced by Jordan Cousins – and Ryan Manning continues in the absence of injured left-back Jake Bidwell. Caretaker boss John Eustace has changed the front line, with Bright Osayi-Samuel and Tomer Hemed coming in for Matt Smith and Nahki Wells. Eustace has named four forwards on the bench: Smith, Wells, Ebere Eze and youngster Lewis Walker. QPR: Lumley, Rangel, Furlong, Leistner, Manning, Scowen, Luongo, Cousins, Freeman, Osayi-Samuel, Hemed. Subs: Ingram, Lynch, Wszolek, Smith, Walker, Wells, Eze. Swansea: Nordfeldt, Roberts, van der Hoorn, Carter-Vickers, Naughton, Byers, Grimes, James, Dyer, Routledge, McBurnie. Subs: Benda, Celina, Asoro, McKay, Rodon, Fulton, Baker-Richardson.
At least BOS is given a start that his performance of the bench deserve.... Maybe Wells for Hemed..... Cameron is a loss...
