They currently sit 23rd, on 39 points, so only 2 points from safety. They have drawn one and lost three of their last four games, including a 6-0 defeat against Ipswich Town. Before the last 4 games, they won four in a row, against Millwall, Bristol City, Rotherham and Plymouth. Without those 12 points, they'd be all but mathematically relegated already, so they have certainly given themselves a chance. Their top scorers are Anthony Musaba and Iké Ugbo with 6 goals each, followed by Bailey Cadamarteri with 5 and then Josh Windass with 4. As for us, two wins in a row has certainly eased relegation worries, but we aren't completely out of the woods yet, but with 6 games to go, we are 6 points clear of the drop zone...so a lot more comfortable. Our top scorers are Chair and Dykes with 5 each, followed by Armstrong with 4...but that said, who needs strikers to score when you have centre backs like Dunne and Cook on hand to finish like they both have in the last two games. Given it has been five days between games, the players will have had a good rest, and so should be ready for this one. ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
So you are saying Marti is almost certainly a fake, and will likely have severe back pain in later life?
Well, here is a massive game if ever there was one. Owls desperate for points and have shown considerable fight while a win for us will surely nearly get us over the line to safety. For what it's worth, the bookies heavily favour us and, according to them, the drop seems very unlikely for us too. But then it's football and anything can happen! I missed the Brum game so looking forward to this very much and hoping to see a convincing victory. COYRs!
Need to not get carried away, and approach this game with the same hunger and attitude we've shown the last few games - that's where Marti earns his corn. Big game, but a point would still be fantastic for us given the league table now. Obviously should be playing for all 3 still.
Yeah looking forward to it. Not often I get to do a new ground with Rangers. Couple of pasties and a cider before.
Cream before jam in Devon which is incredibly important to absolutely no one not married to their cousin.
