Their top scorer is Michael Smith, with 15 goals. They are only one point clear of Sunderland, and so here's hoping they are fully focused on their League form, and won't bother with the cup. They've already beaten Bromley (3-0) and Stockport (1-0) in the FA Cup, and are through to the fourth round of the EFL Trophy. As for us, the FA Cup hasn't been kind to us for many years. Last year we lost to Fulham in our first game in the cup, the year before that we lost in the fourth round, and in 2019 we lost to Watford in the sixth round, which was the first time we'd gone beyond the third round since losing to MK Dons in the fifth round in 2013. Some of the losses have been rather embarrassing...notably our 2002 exit at the hands of Vauxhall Motors. However, surely one day we have to string a cup run together, so here's hoping. Team news and manager comments to go up when they are on the official...enjoy those who'll make it, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Good grief. Did Dom Ball really only play 13 times for them in 3 seasons? Was he crocked most of that time? It does explain how he came to be on our radar given our liking for taking a cheap punt on injured players.
Is anyone actually going. Website suggests most areas of SA Road has and Loft have 60% + availability.
I’m going. Not got a ticket yet but I reckon I’ll be ok. My insomnia appears to have ruined my ability to think of mutual players. Warnock obviously managed both. I’m sure he took Kenny with him. Peter Odemwingie technically never played for us but is a part of our history nonetheless.
Is there a "hidden bonus" in winning this tie? Round 4 is due to take place on February 5th when we are due to meet Millwall in the League. That would then be cancelled and rearranged for a date after the end of AFCON.
Enjoy the game to all going. I haven’t been to a cup game since Watford at home. Hopefully we will not make it hard on ourselves. I am still haunted by Vauxhall Motors fans taking the P out of me. come on you R’s
****ing hell, if I were 13 days older a ticket for today would only cost me £5. Afraid I don’t fancy a trip down in a crowded train (and back) for this one. Plus it’s chucking it down. Cheers Dave. Come on you Hoops.
Apparently game listed for viewing on espn so likely to be available on steely + or hesgoal.com as it's called....
