    Match preview;
After conceding from a 97th minute penalty, away at Southampton, to draw 4-4, hopefully Norwich will be emotionally spent and disheartened going into this game. Good news for them, is they are playing us, in the cup, and we tend not to do so well in cup games. In their opening game they beat Hull so they sit 5th in the table, which means nothing after 2 games. It’ll be interesting to see how Norwich fair this season having lost their main talisman over the summer, Teemu Pukki who left for the US after five years and eighty-eight goals for Norwich.

As for us, our win at Cardiff has certainly lifted the spirits, and all focus is now on Sinclair Armstrong. There is debate on here as to why he didn’t start more last year, but I reckon it’s better to be sure he’s ready, than rush him in too early and risk injury or his confidence being destroyed from playing out of his depth. I’m just glad to see him doing well, and long may it continue. The focus will be on the goal scorers, as always, but also brilliant to see Fox and Cook look solid at the back, and Begovic make a few saves too. Now the big question is, can we continue that form/mentality heading into the cup. I’m sure Ainsworth will big it up as an important game, but I’m not even going to take a guess at what the lineup will be, and how many young faces are given a chance. Given how strapped for cash we are, and the income generated from a cup run, I’ll be frustrated if a complete B team is sent out, especially only two games into the season.

Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you’ll be at HQ, and as always…

    …COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!

I’d love us to win but just don’t think we have the depth of squad to compete in league and cup matches at the moment. We can only just about get a half decent starting eleven for league matches - as for finding 5 subs, that’s a real challenge.

We can't afford to risk any of our 1st team players really, with the exception of Dozy. Certainly neither fit centre backs should play aswell as Dykes, Field , Armstrong or Paal.

I think differently there. Let's try get some momentum going. One or two changes max. Putting the so called fringe players in could just set us back again. Go and try win the game like we should for every game.

I’m in London on Wednesday anyway so will go along but expect to see a second string when we barely have a first string.

Hopefully see Kolli, Bonner, Larkeche, Duke and a few others get a chance. Don’t think we can risk any of the alleged strongest XI which is a shame as in my 30th year of going I’m still yet to see a real cup run.

But then what would it do to our season if Armstrong got injured in what is ultimately a pointless game for us?

Indeed. As good as he might be when he’s good, he still seems to be held together by chewing gum. If it was an FA Cup game I’d be all for throwing everything at it but **** going down for the sake of losing 2-1 rather than 3-0 to Norwich in the Man City Cup.

Staying in the league is absolutely vital, a cup run would be lovely but we all know that isn't gonna happen. The depth in our squad is threadbare, and the back up players are all poor , to put it mildly. We need our strongest possible 11 on the pitch against Ipswich at the weekend, and with only 2 fit centre halves surely risking them or the others I mentioned would be stupidity. Ipswich are a very strong side who are unbeaten in 23 matches, it will be hard enough without the possibility of having some key players out injured. I think he'll rest 4 or 5 players anyway, but I'd rest more. I'd love us to win obviously but I'd love us to beat Ipswich more at this moment in time !

I think we should telegraph Norwich to say we must win it because, Col hates them em' and we're doing it for his hip!
    That's good enough for me,
    Three points, come on down!

We’re still playing for Col’s hip, though!
It’s on the mend and hopefully, so too is our team!

It will be interesting to see what team GA will field, but I expect quite a few players to be rested.

I guess that they will give everything but get a result.

I won’t be going to this one. Concentrating on my loading and will be fresh for Ipswich at the weekend.
