Considering they were bottom of the table 11 games into the 2022/23 season, leading to Chris Wilder's dismissal and Carrick's appointment...so their 4th and 8th place finishes in the last two seasons is quite impressive. Since relegation from the Premier League in 2017, their highest finish has been 4th, in 2022/23, so last year's 8th place finish was disappointing. They'll be disappointed with this year so far, and will be hoping for improvement. Their top scorer is Tommy Conway, with 4 goals. As for us, a good point at home against league leaders Sunderland was an encouraging sign, and there were lots of improvements...still no goals. We've only scored 11 so far this season, with only Swansea having scored less...10, but they are 12th in the table having only conceded 9...we've conceded 19. It was good to see some positive, attacking play, especially given the opposition, and I get the feeling as soon as Celer hits the net for the first time, the goals will flow...but maybe I'm too optimistic. Got to go into this game positive, as we are now 2 points from 21st, and 4 points from 20th, and if that gap gets any bigger, even I'll start to lose hope. I've already conceded that we aren't going to achieve anything this year...still clinging onto the hope we'll be mid-table come the end of the season. Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you can make it to HQ, and as always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Cheers Dave. Bloody Luke Young. My ticket has been snapped up on the resale site, though the last two times this has happened apparently no one turned up to occupy the seat. Left back bingo, who draws the short straw? All those made of sterner stuff than me who are going, enjoy.
Yeah I’ve ‘sold’ my seat back to the club too. I know it’s bad when I can’t be arsed. Which means we’ll win.
Grant Hall goes to my barber. There’s a framed shirt of his on the wall alongside all the Brighton players’ who also go in there - once saw Milner and Lallana, what a treat. Every time I mention to the barber he was always injured and not very good and he smiles politely not speaking good enough English to understand.
Feck me Kieron Dyer actually played 5 times for us????? I can only remember his debut which lasted all of 5 minutes before he was injured.... thought that was his only appearance.....
Had to look it up. That was his only one that season. One of the great QPR debuts. Then played four league games the following year- all defeats to Spurs, City, United and Chelsea. The jewel in his QPR crown was a late equaliser at home to West Brom in a third round cup tie. Bothroyd won us the replay from memory.
Cashing in? Unless your team is on a sensational run and playing like Holland 1974 there are way too many games in this league to go to them all without mental health consequences
A colonoscopy followed by a QPR game is truly cruel and unusual punishment. My son's going to inflict my ticket on his girlfriend.
You’ve got less hair than me, though through choice I hope. I assumed you took the razor to your own bonce rather than paying someone to do it…..but well done for supporting the immigrant community. ‘Turkish Barbers/Money Laundering Outlet’ I assume.
No this one is legit or at least legit enough to be busy while also not having a card machine. Another vape shop opened up over the road this week which I think brings us to a tidy dozen choices on that within a five minute walk. I do normally do my own and yes it is out of choice but go in for an occasional treat with the complimentary nose and ear wax. Grant Hall’s hair is probably from Turkey too.
Surely the anesthetic would help watching the R's........ Hope it goes ok Strolls, I had one a few weeks ago, the prep is the worst part, but the tea and toast after is the best meal in the world.....
I have it without the anaesthetic Trammers, so no help there. Yeah, the prep is awful. I've promised myself fish and chips afterwards.
