One to forget, a long and difficult day. First half we held our own, a good start for twenty minutes, and then both sides were both going through the motions and looked like they were both settling for a 0-0. Second half, they got the breakthrough and then their second goal ... he shouldn't be scoring from there! Begovic on £32,000 a week and our highest paid player has got to do better.

A very flat and nothing response second half after Wednesday, hopefully we can write it off and go again away to Sunderland. This was a game that I would've been happy to have missed. It was a soulless affair.

Having seen Frey, Dykes and Armstrong all play that role, the most dangerous, in my opinion is Armstrong by some way. Frey takes 10 yards before he can reach maximum speed. Dykes just doesn't have the natural instinct to play as the furthest man. Armstrong has the pace and power to cause problems but obviously his decision making sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. He has to start. He gets the crowd lifted, the atmosphere changes and it resonates through the team. Can't believe it took so long to get him on the pitch.

They're all **** in their own special ways.

Watched the first half today then had to be elsewhere. Really disappointed to see we conceded 2 and lost.

Didn't see his performance, so maybe unfair to comment, but based on the last few times I've seen Dykes play, he's not offering much of a threat, and I'd definitely look to Armstrong before him... particularly as an impact sub.

Have you seen Frey?

just a day to forget. Another 15p put on my pre-match pint and my train home left Waterloo two hours after the final whistle had gone. How much
did that performance against WBA take out of them?

Back down to earth with a bump. 1 point out of 6 from our last 2 games, both at home. Results at home really have to improve if we’re going to survive.
They got to get the heads up, averaging out the points we're doing enough, please just don't do what we all fear and go on some sort of **** streak again

Struggled to post this yesterday in my post-rugby haze. The pic was taken in the Springbok and it's Don Shanks with myself (right as you look) and some old duffer.

Shanksy seems a genuinely lovely fella. I thanked him for all he'd done for our Stanley.
You look younger than I thought Strolls and you’re able to stand up under your own auspices - well done! :emoticon-0137-clapp :emoticon-0136-giggl

Seems to me we only start Dykes now when we want a more conservative (defensive) set up. Not really the best attributes for a striker. Frey seems an upgrade. We also need to see Armstrong keep his improvement growing - he’s still a young lad.

Who's Taylor Richards? <laugh>
That was the first thing I thought off.
Followed by … how much have we been paying him … for how long!!
Don’t think I’d even know him if he bumped into me. Apart from the money flowing out of every pocket maybe.

Don’t get me wrong, Cookie is a massive in our defence but how he can be paid that much over every one else? That’s just wrong. Begovic is similar but he’s not massive (though he probably is in our goalie group).

I’m sure it’s bollocks. The club don’t reveal contract lengths so unlikely some random has got hold of accurate salary info.

And improve quickly as we only have 4 home games left and the next 2 are massive - Brum and SW. After that it's Preston and Leeds and i don't fancy anything out of those two. With Hull, Preston, Leeds and Cov as our last 4 games, we're going to need to be almost safe by Hull - that means going on a run over the next 5 games and picking up at least 3 wins, if not 4 wins out of 5.
