I like coming home to London on a regular basis, and the football gives me an excuse. I stayed for the entirety of the game on Saturday, but long gone are the days when I was bewildered at anyone who would leave early. Probably helps that it’s only £13 a match for me now, no longer need a new mortgage for an ST. Nowadays I have to psyche myself up to go into the ground in the first place, and have found myself looking at my watch and wondering whether I could make the earlier train home if I left early, which I did against Sheff Utd, with increasing frequency. When I’m in a comfortable place with good company pre match, as I was last Saturday, I really would prefer to stay there for the afternoon than watch the crap we have been served up for the last decade and more.
Heresy time. I wouldn’t mind if we were relegated, just for a change of scenery. And at least we know Kelman can score goals at that level.
I've been an expat on and off for donkeys years so my few sporadic returns to West London / QPR are always enjoyable no matter the result. A few beers beforehand with genial (read Old) like minded sufferers and a trip to LR serves to tie me to my roots although Shepherds Bush these days I hardly recognise
The football is almost secondary - of course a majestic victory is hoped for - but actually just spending time there is therapeutic
That said I do like the away games, the faithfull sing louder and for longer and the variation in pies something to look forward to
My lad has now taken the mantle of getting pissed off when we lose, me, I've reached that stage where opening a decent red and putting the wireless on is more than sufficient

Like Beth, Stan, Wubba, 999's and others I'm at the stage in life where the R's result is basically irrelevant, happy when they win, nonplussed when they lose..... long gone are the days of worrying about what's happening in the club....
Been away from W12 for almost 40 years and HQ would be the only reason for going back to the Bush along with a pint or 2 pre game but that is now few and far between, can't remember the last game I was at, still as long as Steely+ works I can continue following them, doesn't matter if it's 2nd or 3rd division.... plus I can watch wherever I happen to be......

It seems I didn’t miss much not going on Saturday as I was in Madrid partying & enjoyed that but not the result
Without wishing to speak for @qprbeth, in my experience the result; performance; number of bookings; injury status; development squad results; overall short and long term financial outlook; performance and status of players we have loaned out; the same for ex players and potential signings; whether or not any ‘big’ clubs are interested in any of our U12s; sponsorship opportunities for the so called ‘concourse’ where the bogs and the bars are in the Loft, and anything else QPR related however tenuously are of more immediate and vital relevance to her at all times than anyone else I have ever met, unless she is in a field a long way from London listening to a crusty band banging out agitprop tunes.

Sadly or happily you are entirely right Stan.
I am complely fascinated by all things QPR. ( I think I now realise I am an undiagnosed aspergers). It extends to other things too.
As said in my response to 999s earlier...it is a roller coaster. We will come good again I hope soon..as I have less time ahead than I once had

Watching Declan Rice, I asked myself whether I'll ever see that quality at QPR. The answer I gave myself was not encouraging.
