Those three losses have meant a gap has opened up between Blackburn, who are 5th, and Sunderland, who are ten points ahead of them in 4th. They are now only a point ahead of Boro who are 7th, so they are in a fight to remain in a playoff position. Their top scorer is Andreas Weimann with only 6 goals, and they've only scored 34 all season, so lower than anyone else in the top ten. As for us, time to get back on track after two disappointing losses in a row, away to Millwall and home to Sheffield Wednesday. Thanks to our great run from late December to late January we are still mid-table, 14th, 6 points from the playoffs and 11 from relegation...so another few wins on the board and I'll be quite happy to see out the rest of the season peacefully, without having to look over our shoulders. Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you're making it to HQ...I hope the kiosks will be well stocked with hot chocolate, it is going to be a cold one. Enjoy it if you'll make it and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Cheers Dave. On the way back from Germany/Holland today completely full of football, I’ll be giving this one a miss. Need a decent performance though to avoid drifting into another losing sequence. Only bothered by Dunne rumours because we are so light at RB. Otherwise cashing in at around £2m makes a lot of sense.
Rather fear the worst for these next two games. Hard for an away team travelling midweek statistically but they’ve had the extra night to recover and coming off a win where they looked pretty good. There’s not really a good available defensive combination assuming Dunne isn’t available for whatever reason. Really hope he freshens the side up. Saito is an obvious one but I’d be looking at giving Field or Morgan a rest. Maybe the kid in for Smyth even or Kolli left and Saito right.
Thought it was one of those funny mirrors you get a fair grounds...... looks all out of proprtion.....
