I caught that annoying 'optimistic QPR fan' bug. I paid my £10 on QPR+, I set up a projector so I had a big screen to view it on, and I moved the couch to the best viewing spot. Then the game started and it was painful. Inviting Leeds to attack, and our only hope being Armstrong managing to shrug off at least two defenders, win the ball and offer some attacking threat, without the ref blowing for some reason. It seemed there was no thought through game plan, Dykes was almost no where to be seen, and it was all rather grim viewing. Things need to get better, and fast. If we head into the international break in the bottom three, it will be a very uncomfortable two weeks for Ainsworth and co, with many questioning whether he should be given the two weeks to work with 'the boys', as he likes to call them. That only annoys me because they are grown men, and the players need to take some responsibility for our current position too. As for our opponents this Saturday, Blackburn Rovers sit two places and two points above us, in 20th, with 10 points. After some impressive early wins against West Brom and Watford, they seem to have veered off track, and have lost their last four league games in a row. Their top scorer is Sammy Szmodics, with 6 goals, and then they have a number of players on 3 goals. Team news to go up when on the official, but looks like Colback is out. Massive respect if you are making the trip, and as always... ...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!!
Cheers Dave. If we lose or draw this game we will have gone a calendar year with only one win at home by the time we play the next one, against Leicester City (which I imagine we will lose heavily). Watford 1-0 in case you forgot - of course I couldn’t go to that one. But the lads give their all every week and are playing some great stuff, apparently. Still, it’s only a game and for some reason I’ll be going again this Saturday.
GA's old club. Can't make this due to a wedding but a son going to cheer the boys on. Depressing stat from Sb_73 re the likely outcome and our win rate at home.
If Blackburn win, they will be the third team to win more games at Loftus Road than us this year. The others are Coventry and Sunderland.
We might have to make a few changes to the starting line up Hagerty F., Hagerty R., Tomkins, Noble, Carrick, Dobson, Crapper, Dewhurst, MacIntyre, Treadmore, Davitt
Field is suspended after accumulating five yellow cards, Colback and Cook are major doubts. Willock could be recalled to QPR squad - West London Sport
