A Happy New Year to Everyone

After the horrible performance on Sunday, bringing to an end the unbeaten home record, it is difficult to imagine what will happen in this first game of a new year. Can Tom and his team lift the players to produce a decent away showing, something we haven't managed too often this season? A trip to Ranger's home is not the easiest place to go when you are looking to pick yourselves up, although our last visit in January did result in a 2-1 win for us.

Martí Cifuentes's side will be looking forward to returning to the familiar surroundings of Loftus Road, where they have won each of their previous three league games.
The R's enjoyed an impressive run of form before Christmas, winning four and drawing three of their seven matches in a promising undefeated streak.
However, their fine spell of form was abruptly ended by a heavy 3-0 away defeat against Swansea City on Boxing Day.

Watford may be sitting just outside the play-offs on goal difference, but they have struggled for consistency in recent times, having won two, drawn two and lost two of their last six matches.
Unfortunately for the Hornets, those two defeats took place in their final three matches of 2024, losing 2-1 to Burnley and Cardiff on either side of a narrow home win against Portsmouth. This could really be a difficult game for us.

    Team News

Both Rocco Vata and Imran Louza are doubtful for tomorrow’s game at Queens Park Rangers.
The pair went off early in Sunday’s 2-1 defeat against Cardiff and, while not ruling either out, Tom Cleverley admitted he has concerns over them.
Kwadwo Baah comes back into the squad after missing Sunday’s game through suspension.

The hosts are without the services of Steve Cook, Liam Morrison, Karamoko Dembele, Jack Colback and Zan Celar.

Lucas Andersen is a major doubt after he was forced off just before the hour mark against Norwich due to a calf issue.

    Going for experience in midfield.

Tom definitely has a preferred wing back duo .

So Louza didn't make it, and Vata only on the bench.

Re the earlier free kick, both were shirt pulling and the QPR player was worse. Ref should book them both and restart the game with a drop ball, it would soon cut that practise out.
