For me the Liverpool result and events of today has just ratcheted up the importance of this game. Many agree that Wigan and Wolves are pretty much doomed and it is a 3 way battle between us Blackburn and Bolton to avoid joining them. Blackburn will be destroyed by todays result. They will be hanging on Swansea saving them as were Liverpool tonight. Beat the swans and it'll be a double blow to Blackburn and a chance to really knock their morale. It offers the chance to put three points between us and them, obviously psychologically important. If other results go with script it's 3 points gap from Wigan and 9 from Wolves. Until now we've been able to say the results from our big run in were a little unexpected but tomorrow has always been targeted as a must win and included in our imaginary safety total. To fail would be a massive set back. It could get us within 4 points of Villa. We have the Derry situation and that feeling of being wronged, a backs to the wall mentality. They don't get bigger than this and that temperature keeps rising. Not sure I can cope with much more of this, but it's going to be one hell of a party when we survive! Come on you rrr's!! Don't let me down!
frantic its bloody murder these last few games, booked holiday in august but think i need another when seasons over & we survive.
I thought Blackburn wilted under the pressure of relegation today. They had a really good chance to bag three points against a **** side. The acid will be on us tomorrow and I just hope our boys don't bottle it.
It's going to be so important to start strong. I worry that were all so aware of the importance it can effect the crowd which can create a nervous atmosphere..... Bit like when it went really flat against Hull last year. Be strong, be positive and sing loud!
Think you've said it all there 74... Tomorrow's game, and more importantly a win for Rangers, is vital in every sense of the word. Wasn't that long ago, days more than weeks, that anyone with half a brain had us down as odds on for the drop. Blackburn had gone 6 points clear and both Bolton and Wigan were winning games. All looks a bit different today doesn't it, thanks largely to results from games not involving us! Anyway, mustn't count our chickens but nice to have received that stay of execution to make ready for our ultimate escape eh?!! Wonder what the pundits are thinking now!
I will have to sneak peaks again tomorrow. And my personal job evaluation on Thursday - best I don't get caught at it
Not that you can read much into the bookies odds, but tonight is the first time in weeks we have been 4th favourites to go down. Onwards and upwards!
Sorry boyz but - you are going down. Your run in is too tough. If you try and go at us tomorrow and leave plenty of open spaces we will pick you off. Prediction - QPR 2 Swans 3
if they're so 'arsenal-like' as the media say then just play the same way we did v the real arsenal and we'll cruise to victory, another 4-0 gotta love the media bumfun with the swans whilst norwich actually do much better
You haven't counted on Loftus Road on a rock night prepare to be entertained ... Tippy Tappy don't cut it and tbh we invented neat compact football .. Swans will leave shell shocked guaranteed as if you haven't experienced LR at night under floods you haven't lived ..
When you lose tomorrow night, be sure and come back on the board here to eat every single word of this post.
My only fear is we always seem to make life difficult for ourselves. We all know this is a game that everyone has penciled as a must win game, but that's exactly when we cock up. But then we'll go and stuff chelsea. Well if we did do that I wouldn't mind, in fact it would be preferable, but the agony of losing tomorrow will not be easy to take.
It's the most crucial game of the season. We need to win this to continue our confidence at home, for the sake of the spurs fixture. The WBA game may also hinge on a result against the swans; should we lose tomorrow night then saturdays game is a "must win", as opposed to "could do with winning". I don't want that additional pressure, and i doubt it'd be good for the team either...better to play with freedom than be crippled by nerves at The Hawthawns.
No probs You should have beaten us at The Liberty. You have had a couple of great wins recently and will start as favourites - but if you come out on a full out attack you will be exposed at the back. Loftus Road? Won't be a problem in terms of noise. most of our players have been through the lower leagues where the fans can touch the players! It is going to be a great game. May the best team win.
Wolves, yes, but despite recent bad luck & results, Wigan are still playing some good football, as demonstrated at Chelsea. I see Wolves & Blackburn going down and a battle between ourselves, Wigan & Bolton for the 3rd spot.
I will be in A block tomorrow night and I pledge to give it everything I've got both in terms of my own vocal support and getting others to do the same. Let's get the fookin place rocking. Lets all play our part. Yoooooooooooouuuuuuuuuuuu rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs
