I think the article gets it almost right , spot on their centre halves are better than ours and we all agree we could do with at least one addition there. I also like Dembele , but would say that our squad looks better than theres now, if you swapped hangeland over with ferdinand we would look a lot stronger....
I think Park is better. Hoilett is somewhat unproven, in my opinion. But he's obviously an exciting prospect. Clint Hill. If you go on the name then he loses but if you go on performances of last season surely it has to be Hill?
Spot on Flyer, Dempsey is absolutely key for them. If he goes I reckon we could (and probably should) finish above them. ... By the way, isn'y it good to be talking about footie for a change?
They're an experienced side at this level with an excellent manager and reasonably settled team. If we finish within two places of them we'll have had a solid season.
Settled? Theyve lost their 4 biggest attacking threats in the last 6 months, AJ, BZ, Pog and soon to be Dempsey. Imagine us losing Taarabt, BZ, Cisse and Mackie and not replacing them.
Dempsey's not gone yet. They were happy to lose Zamora and Johnson- half our lot are/were against them signing. Pogrebnyak was only a loan and was pretty dire after his first few games. They've still got a very astute signing in Petric, Rodallega, Ruiz, Dembele (for now at least) and some really good young players like Frei and the guy who was on loan at Watford last season (name escapes me, begins with K) with plenty of time to bring another in. None of them are world-beaters but all good players and even without Dempsey and Dembele I'd be surprised if they were anywhere close to the drop.
I was ready to bite back until I saw this post. Well done sir. By the way, the guys name is Alex Kacaniklic, or Kaka for short
That's the young Swedish lad right? He's quality and very exciting indeed. How are Kasami coming along? Along with Frei I think you've bought some very good up and coming talent. Is it down to a good scouting or your managers network?
Petric has scored in every pre-season game for them so far. Doesn't mean much at this stage but I think he'll be decent. Kerim Frei is also a talent they have which I hope we can produce from our youth one day (even if we do buy them when they're 15)
I think the article is pot on TBH. Fulham, as much we dislike them are a capable established Prem team and wont drop silly points like we do. In a head to head, i would take QPR purely because our squad players are more experinced and we seem to have greater depth in every position. Over the course of the season I think both teams will be close to each other and poss finish within 1-2 places of each other. Remember, its a team game and individuals only count for so much....sum sum of the parts and all that...! I;m going for home wins for both teams using my sensible head.....but my passionate head says 2 wins to us.....If only we could buy thier CB we'd be laughing. Perfect foin for Ferdinand as the article says...
Indeed. He came to us in the Konchesky to Liverpool deal, which now looks like daylight robbery. The reason FFC fans aren't up in arms over Dempsey's possible departure is due to the emergence of both Kaka and Frei, but of course he would still be greatly missed. We bought Frei when he was only 12 from Grasshopper so has always been considered a FFC graduate even though he didn't begin his career here. Kasami showed some promise last season but Jol preferred to use Murphy and Diarra in the middle, understandable given their experience. I think it could be a big season for the lad, along with a few others such as Ruiz and Trotta. I like most others feel QPR and FFC will finish a lot closer than last season, with the whites coming out just on top of course
