New boys shine in pulsating six goal thriller â report Sunday, 2nd Feb 2014 18:52 by Clive Whittingham Kevin Doyle and Mobido Maiga both scored debut goals as QPR and Burnley fought out a splendid three all draw at Loftus Road on Saturday. Considering their respective league positions and records this season, QPR and Burnley have probably copped more than their fair share of grief during the 2013/14 campaign to this point. The Clarets sat third at the start of play on Saturday, operating on easily the lowest budget of any of the top six sides, but much of the coverage of their ascent through the Championship this season has centred on when an apparently inevitable collapse will occur. Even with the January addition of Ashley Barnes from Brighton alleviating the concern over the lack of cover for star striking duo Sam Vokes and Danny Ings it seems to be the received wisdom that Sean Dycheâs side will fall away during the run in. Squadâs too small, injuries will hit them harder than most, etc etc. - See more at: http://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footba...-goal-thriller-–-report?#sthash.BOzA51dR.dpuf
A good account of the game by Clive, with some nice witty observations. I felt a bit better about the result after reading it than I initially did yesterday.
Just read this myself, a good report- nice hear Clive sounding upbeat for a change! I thought Traore was fantastic though, and worth more of a mention. He's got a prodigious leap on him, and put in his best performance for the Rs IMO.
Well I continue to enjoy these match reports, but then I'm also a "detail" guy, so Swords in person you might find me boring & tiresome company? You say the same sort of thing every week - "that geezer sure does carry on" etc. Actually the Bolton report was by a colleague of his - did you prefer that one? Why do you bother reading these articles if you really don't care for the content & style? Actually I think I would almost be a bit worried about you if one day you came out and said something like, "that was one good read, an excellent match report, just how I saw it"?
Yeah but he don't half go on a bit though does he Killy? I mean he reminds me of that little Bunny in the Duracell Ads: On and On Anon.... Can't someone just plug out his batteries and shut him down for a bit? He gives me a right earache that Geezer I'm telling ya

I have a great respect for Clive's reports and admit that I do enjoy reading most of them. They are his personal opinions but I generally find affinity with them, and they also me provide much knowledge and insight. Additionally, the quality of the writing is superb. As an "off-shore virtual internet supporter" they are a large part of my QPR experience. This report is actually very positive with not much to rant about.
I'm no fan of Clive's mate, but your weekly comment is becoming both predictable and boring, two things I do not really associate you with.
Yeah put a sock in it Swords Hope you get banned you cross dressing beauty actually I am also boring I predict a ball
Yes, he just goes on and on and on............never ending, and we get so bloody bored (think there is a Monty Python skit along those lines). Back to actual Groundhog Day (Sun Feb 2nd), like us against Burnley, the so called experts over here were also tied 3-3 in their weather predictions. please log in to view this image Historically the final blast of winter often comes around March 17th (St. Patrick's Day), which is still 6 weeks away. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/groundhog-day-predictions-mixed-for-early-spring-1.2520308 please log in to view this image
