Simpson misses his first game of the season - and faces a few weeks on the sidelines - after suffering a back injury so manager Harry Redknapp has recalled youngster Max Ehmer from his loan spell at Carlisle as cover. Joey Barton remains a doubt after missing the recent 2-1 win over Huddersfield with a thigh problem while fellow midfielder Jermaine Jenas and defender Nedum Onuoha are also short of fitness. But winger Junior Hoilett could return to the squad after a spell out with hamstring trouble. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Andy Lonergan will retain his place for Bolton, despite committing the error which saw the Trotters knocked out of the FA Cup at the weekend. The stopper spilled the ball to allow Frazier Campbell to score Cardiff's only goal at the Reebok Stadium but, even though Adam Bogdan is now fit again following a knee injury, Wanderers boss Dougie Freedman insists he will stick with Lonergan. Freedman also confirmed Mark Davies will come back into the reckoning after being rested against the Bluebirds - the midfielder is only just back from a long-term knee problem. Craig Davies may start up front once more after David Ngog completed his move to Swansea on Monday, while Stuart Holden (knee) will this week return to the United States for the latest part of his rehabilitation. please log in to view this image Meet The Managers please log in to view this image v please log in to view this image Redknapp - - v - - - Freedman MATCH FACTS Head-to-head ⢠QPR won the earlier meeting this season 1-0 at the Reebok in August. Should we make it a criteria that you have to have 3 initials to play full back for us......SWP, BAE, BLY...........
Hoping Danns does the business for Bolton tonight. D'Urso's 6 reds in 20 games makes me excited. Here's hoping Barton forgets he's a footballer again.
Even Joey will have to go some to get one from wherever he will be sitting tonight! He is supposedly still injured.
Well it's 6 o'clock otherwise known as Glass of Port o'clock, so cheers lads & lasses, here's to a good evening, the right performance and result and with a bit of luck both Leicester & Burnley drop points...... COYR's
Absolutely mate, although don't forget that some on here don't think it matters what the other results are!
TEAM NEWS: @OfficialQPR XI: Green; Assou-Ekotto, Dunne, Hill, Traore, Kranjcar, Henry, Carroll, Phillips, Johnson, Austin Subs: Murphy, Hoilett, Diakite, Zamora, Wright-Phillips, Ehmer, O'Neil
I would assume Traore, unless BAE swops sides and Traore fills in at LB. At least Phillips is starting to give us width, but still worry about 442, midfield looks a little lightweight....
Most likely, but I don't like it. Although this could be the perfect opportunity to really attack the wings in numbers.
