Seemingly in control at the weekend thanks to Charlie Austin’s fifth goal of the season, all Rangers’ hard-work was undone late on, after Rob Green saw red for denying a goalscoring opportunity, and Forest took full advantage of their numerical gain, scoring two goals in seven minutes to run out unlikely winners. But the beauty of the Championship means there’s always another fixture just around the corner, and Chris Ramsey’s side will be looking to build on what has – for the large part – been a promising start to the campaign so far. Rovers, meanwhile, head to W12 still searching for their first victory of the season. Gary Bowyer’s side have drawn three and lost three of their six Championship fixtures to date, a run of form that sees them sit in 23rd place heading into tonight’s clash in west London. With Green serving a one match suspension owing to his red card on Saturday lunchtime, Alex Smithies will deputise in goal for his first league start since his move from Huddersfield Town. Gabriele Angella is likely to be passed fit despite being forced off with a cut head on Saturday, whilst Ale Faurlin – who missed out at the weekend as a precaution – is pushing for a return. Yun Suk-Young, Jamie Mackie and Leroy Fer could all feature. Rovers have no new injury worries following their defeat at Fulham on Sunday. Indeed, the same squad that made the journey to the capital at the weekend are expected to travel once more. Rovers will be without Jason Lowe (foot) and Chris Brown (knee), but whilst Chris Taylor is well on his way to a return following his groin operation, he won't be ready. Blackburn Rovers – Likely line-up (4-4-2): Steele; Duffy, Hanley, Henley, Spurr; Evans, Marshall, Conway, Guthrie; Delfouneso, Rhodes QPR Possible Starting Xl please log in to view this image MATCH ODDS QPR win: 10/11 Draw: 11/4 Blackburn Rovers win: 10/3 LAST TIME OUT Blackburn Rovers 2, QPR 0 – Championship – Tuesday 8th April 2014 Scorer: Blackburn – Gestede, Spurr HEAD TO HEAD (in all competitions) QPR wins: 14 Draws: 9 Blackburn Rovers wins: 19 MATCH OFFICIALS Referee: D Deadman Assistant Referees: N Hair & C Fitch Fourth Official: I Williamson please log in to view this image
Angella is still injured I believe and it's too soon for Fer as far as I know. Can't say I'm confident of a win. Blackburn are better than their form suggests and there's no getting away from Ramsey's home record. Could be a long night for those going. Not me though, I've got a date so will hopefully be balls deep while you're getting pissed on watching Rhodes score the only goal
When you find out she's got the decorators in, you'll wish you were at LR! Unless you're into that sort of thing!!
Just landed at Luton proudly wearing my QPR cap at risk to life and limb! Was away for the Forest game so extra excited tonight. Come on you Rsssassess!
Sadly think the predicted line up is a bit wrong, please get yourselves ready for Henry's name to be read out to avoid dissapointment later
I reckon it's gonna be wetter at LR tonight than in watford's bedroom/local cinema/lidl car park. How's that knee?
Thanks for asking. 9 weeks post-op and doing plenty of light gym stuff now so I'm happy enough with the progress. Never gone for the Lidl car park approach. The classy girls insist on a Waitrose or at least Sainsbury's.
How bad must Gladwin be if he can't get Henry out the team... Move Luongo back and play him behing Austin or wide left surely
cheer up, pretty sure CR knows what he's doing better than the fans. He sees training all week and knows what's going on and who to pick etc.
