There`s no doubting that the press will be giving maximum coverage to our forthcoming FA Cup tie against Queens Park Rangers. Circumstances have contrived to place it on a pedestal, alongside the Liverpool v Manchester United tie, as the must-see encounter. However, for one reason or another, it will not be shown live on television, even though it has been given a 12:00 hour kick-off time. That, apparently, is down to Scotland Yard who have insisted on the early kick-off in an attempt to diffuse any behavioral problems. To that effect, Loftus Road will be swamped with additional Police, security staff and stewards with QPR insistent that any racist chants will be harshly dealt with, prompting a QPR spokesperson to remark, "Our priority is always to ensure the safety and enjoyment of both sets of supporters and stewarding, security and policing numbers will reflect that." Off course, matters are complicated by the fact that the away allocation, for this game, will be larger due to the FA Cup ticketing rules. Surely their allocation can't be any bigger than the league game when they were given the school end?
