I reckon there will be some big changes. Players did not perform last night. Worst performance of the season to date. ------------------------------------------FIELDING------------- -------MOORE --------FLINT-------MAGGS------GOLBOURNE ----- O'DOWDA-------REID-----O'NEIL----------PATERSON ------------------------------TOMLIN------------------- -----------------------------------------------------ABRAHAM-------------
I thought Pack was one of our better players Reid not scoring cost us a point. Overall I thought Cardiff were slightly lucky to run off with the goodies. We had a couple of pen shouts that could easily have been given We looked composed on the ball but ran out of steam in the second half, until the last 20 mins. Not sure Abraham doesn't need a rest for a few games - he looked shot. Against that Tomlin looked up for it, and Premiership class. His goal was pure eye-candy. When you see him doing stuff like he did, you wonder why nobody has speculated on him representing his country. Oh, yes I forgot. We are up to our neck in mercurial, ball-playing genius's here in the British isles. Wilbs though is now looking slightly toothless - we may need to spend on a second striker in Jan, as has been mentioned on here before. We need some cover for our 18 year old
I disagree RR, I didn't think we were that bad. Warnock likes a scrap, that's his way and so was always going to be that sort of game. Using the towel for each throw breaks the flow of the game....very clever Colin!! Their first goal should never have stood as it was offside leading up to the pen. If we keep changing it every time it doesn't quite go our way, the team will never gel. All I will say is, we need to be a bit more creative in front of goal, we are not creating enough chances..
Tammy could of been of the pitch first half, would not make any difference to the team.Non existent service. Freeman not end product,Little and O'Neil stood watching as the second went it. Paterson did more than Freeman yet got taken of. Bryan had a poor game,as did Pack. To much sideways and backwards balls for my liking. As said take Tammy out of the game and we have no end product, this needs to be addressed.
Made so because Nellie had a plan brute force and distruptiveness ..only wanted to play 80 mins of football hence the well engineered timewasting
I don't think we'll change much on Tuesday, I think he'll put out the same team with Reid replacing Pack. I think we need Smith and Matthews back ASAP
Booby ? There is a case for resting Tammy and give Engval a go (as RedHub pointed out. Thats why we signed him) .
Really don't understand why we spent 2.5 million on a injured player. Not even played a game yet. I hope he is good when he does get a go. I think the one up top is going to be our downfall come the end. Really think we need to get two up top. A Cardiff fan summed it up,when you have to bring a 36 year old in WIlbs on we have nothing to offer up top.
Are you bi-polar RR? I only ask because you veer from extreme over-confidence to over the top negativity depending on whether we win or lose, regardless of any mitigating circumstances. Losing the Cardiff game was disappointing, particularly when Reid had such a good chance to equalise, but I for one still think that if I had been offered 5th place after 12 games at the start of the season then I'd have bitten their hand off. Presumably if Neil Warnock had been appointed instead of LJ we'd be in the top 4?
You can only comment about the last game, and that last game there was some very average, and poor performances. We played a team that had not scored on there home pitch this season,we played a side that had unfit players on the pitch, one being the best player on the park by a country mile. And to make it worse they wanted it more than ours on the night.
Not sure about that but you wouldn't have lost last night. The managers were the difference in the result. Nothing against Johnson at all but he had no answer to a man twice his age who was asking the questions,
Are you getting a little tired now OS ? It has been a long day. Neither Johnson nor Warnock were actually playing in the match. You do know that don't you ?
Oh they were both playing allright Rickster, and Warnock played a blinder - you don't have to kick a ball to be involved. The game may finish when the ref blows the final whistle, but it starts in the dressing room not on the pitch. Masterclass from the old warhorse in the art of getting a result.
Yep no one comes close to him regards setting up a team not to be beaten. NW is the master at that. As said you have yourselves one of the best championship managers at your club.
This is why we were cursing our luck. 3 weeks ago we would have put 3 past them quite comfortably I think also it comes down to International tiredness and anticlimax (in Tammy's case. He delivered a big one for England).
