    Barton had no choice but to leave the way he was treated was shocking the bloke is a legend and should have got the contract extension he so worked for on the merit of his performances on the pitch.

    I do, but obviously if this match didn't go my way then that would have been the whole thing ****ed, but now it has, there's just one game left.

    Considering I'm still in with a chance, I'm ****ing chuffed. I'm especially chuffed as a Norwich vs Sunderland draw doesn't seem THAT unrealistic.

    Bet it doesn't happen though. No doubt it'll be our enemy Sunderland who **** it up.

    i think that's you...... to me a toon legend is someone like Beardsley/Shearer/Lee/Speed/McDonald/McCreery etc.etc. not someone who did it for us in one season get a ****ing grip man

    He was offered a contract extension. 3 years at his current deal, Barton confirmed this on Talksport with Micky Quinn. He said he wanted a 4 year deal, because he was having a kid and wanted security. After that the board withdrew the offer, and Bartons twitter tirade began.

    He ended up taking a three year deal with QPR in the end, saying he couldn't play for this board, well not unless they gave him a 4 year contract. I imagine he feels like a bit of a mug, but people believe the cack he comes out with on Twitter, so it softens the blow. Like Nolan, he got greedy, and got what he deserved.

    Seriously? You need me to explain why Joey Barton should not be regarded as a 'legend'?

    One good year at Newcastle, preceded by 3 years of prison and injuries, then ****ing off to QPR after feeding us lies doesnt cut it for me.
