QPR to re-apply for midfielder Sandro's work permit Last Updated: 17/07/15 12:45pm please log in to view this image <img QPR hope to be able to call upon Sandro soon Queen’s Park Rangers are to re-apply for a work permit for Sandro. The Brazilian midfielder had been unable to play in England after the Home Office discovered in May that part of his work visa had expired last December. That saw the Home Office suspend QPR’s sponsorship licence which meant the club were unable to sponsor a visa for any player from outside the European Union. . But QPR say that issue has now been resolved and they will apply for a new permit for Sandro once they receive clearance from football authorities. Sandro joined QPR from Tottenham last September and played 17 games for the club who were relegated to The Championship last season. The 26-year-old’s only goal last season came against his former club Tottenham in a 2-1 defeat at Loftus Road.
Seriously - **** Sandro - let's just move on. Big wages, big injury risk, little impact. Guy should go on loan - should never be part of the plans for the future.
If part of his work visa expired in December that's down to our shyte administration, it really beggars belief...
If he can come back and be 'The Beast' I'm ok with that but would need to see evidence of same from his first touch.
Was this the doctor that passed Sandro's player medical before we singed them? please log in to view this image
Wasn't it a residence visa that expired? Although I'm still mystified why they'd keep it separate from the work permit. Dear Mr Sandro, We are writing to inform you that the work permit application, made on your behalf by QPR, has been granted. This applies with immediate effect and expires in June 2015. Please note that, as of December 2014, you will no longer be able to reside in this country. I enclose a copy of the timetable for the number 54 bus which has stops in both London and Sao Paolo that I hope may prove useful during your commuting period. Yours sincerely, A. I try and see the potential in every player but I think this bloke was an absolute dud signing and Levy/Redknapp have mugged us off. Definitely got the ability at his best for the Championship but can't see him staying fit or having the desire to be bothered. If we can get any sort of reasonable fee for him I think he has to go, especially now we have about 74 midfielders.
I don't actually know what his wages are. And he was dodgy at first. But! he did come good in the last quarter of the season and showed that he does have quality. He had some near MOTM performances. Is he worth it? I can't say. Probably not if his wages are way higher than others'. Hopefully he has a relegation clause?
Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that their sponsorship license for Brazilian midfielder Sandro has been reinstated please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Football News 24/7 please log in to view this image The Evening Standard has reported that Queens Park Rangers have confirmed that their sponsorship license for Brazilian midfielder Sandro has been reinstated with immediate effect. The club were advised not to play the 26-year-old, who signed for the west Londoners from Tottenham last summer, in May after a problem with his residency visa was flagged up by authorities. As a result, the Rangers midfielder was forced to sit out the final three games of last season as Chris Ramsey's side suffered relegation from the Premier League to the second tier. However, the problem has now been resolved and Sandro will soon be free to feature for the Loftus Road outfit. "QPR can confirm that the club's sponsorship licence has been reinstated with immediate effect," read a statement on the club's official website. "The club has resolved the matter with the Home Office and Sandro will reapply for a new work permit once clearance has been given by the football authorities." Sandro struggled for injury last season and made a total of just 17 top flight appearances for the Hoops, who were unable to avoid slipping back into the championship. The midfielder's imminent return will be welcomed as the club attempt to achieve promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. Given his general fitness levels, and the fact that while the others have been training he's been sitting on stuffed cows in Brazil, if he does comne back I reckon he'll be ready for a run out (and first injury of the season) about mid November.
You'd like to think he's had the best trainers, sports science etc. money can buy in Brazil but you're probably right. Doesn't exactly come across as the model professional.
