Premier League newboys Queens Park Rangers could renew their interest in Crystal Palace's Darren Ambrose, reports London 24. The interest could intensify if Hoops captain Adel Taarabt decides his future lies away from Loftus Road. Skilful Taarabt was a key player in Rangers' promotion from the Championship last season. But he has hinted that he will leave if he doesn't get an improved contract and if the squad is not improved significantly. Manager Neil Warnock is hoping to bring around six players into his squad. But if Taarabt does angle for a move, Rangers will move for the man who Warnock wanted to build his midfield around before signing Taarabt from Tottenham for £1m last summer. Palace accepted a £750,000 offer for Ambrose from their former manager last summer, but the 27-year-old opted to sign a three-year deal at Selhurst Park instead. Ex-Ipswich, Newcastle and Charlton player Ambrose could now be tempted by the prospect of Premier League football. Palace, in an improved financial position, are less keen to sell, but a bid of over £1 million could convince them to part with Ambrose.
