http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/qpr-target-carlos-sanchez---3933157? QPR boss Harry Redknapp is making a move for Colombia World Cup muscle man Carlos Sanchez. Redknapp has approached Spanish side Elche about signing the powerful midfielder â dubbed The Rock. Sanchez starred for the South Americans with his tough style which is suited to the Premier League where he has had past interest. Redknapp is hoping to push the £4million valuation down and then sort out personal terms with the player. The Rangers chief has to strengthen his squad on a budget â with his financial power hit by the collapse of Loic Remyâs move to Liverpool. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...target-carlos-sanchez---3933157#ixzz38tlpbVza Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook
Looked very decent in the World Cup, a position we need a player and the price being thrown around looks good too. He looked a big, solid but also intelligent player, so more Yaya than Mbia (from the 5 games ive ever seen admittedly....) - would be a big thumbs up
Was there any need to talk about it - I'm unclear what possible benefit making our transfer plans public at this stage can have? One day we might just sign a player without alerting all our closest rivals. What's the odds someone comes in and gazumps us?
I'm not sure how much of information like this actually comes from the club. Probably most comes from the player's agent hoping to start a bidding war.
I hear what your saying re. keeping your cards close to your chest. God I'd love to get Harry at a poker table. I'd take him to the cleaners unless this is a seriously elaborate ruse. If it is, then it's up there with operation mincemeat. (The dead officer that washed up in Spain with fake invasion plans during WW2)
