QPR star could leave within the next few hours in shock move SPORT WITNESSSport Witness Football View Discussions There are reports coming out of Italy that Queens Park Rangers forward Adel Taarabt could be exiting the club very soon, but the surprise is that he will not be heading to Serie A. The Morocco international has been linked with a move back to AC Milan in the past few days, but it's looking likely that he will be heading to play in the Middle East. TMW reported on claims by Sky Italia that Taarabt is being chased by Al Gharafa and Al Nasr. The two clubs are looking to take advantage of his situation with QPR this season, after he had run-ins with manager Harry Redknapp. The QPR boss earlier in the season questioned the fitness and weight of the player during a press conference which led to speculation he would be heading out of the club. Taarabt has started just one Premier League game this season and he wants to find a club who can give him more opportunities. It has been claimed both Al Gharafa and Al Nasr could sign Taarabt in the coming hours. These latest developments will come as a shock after reports in Italy this week that he will be returning to AC Milan during this transfer window. The player had a successful six month loan spell with the club last season and has stated his desire to play with the club again. However, in the past 48 hours the Serie A side have had second thoughts about the player and manager Filippo Inzaghi no longer wants him. Yesterday they signed Mattia Destro from AS Roma and it seems they are now happy with their attacking options.
An obvious move to me....money for him...and he would probably do quite well.....and no more of these sore throats that seem to inflict him each week in cold England. The thread title had me worried...I thought one of our stars was on their way.....but in the cold light of day.. not sure who I was thinking it was...
Hmmm Al Gharafa are 5 minutes from my office. I'm sure he'll fit in fine in Doha, there's a kebab & shisha joint just by the stadium
Now that would be funny and fitting. Al Gharafa.......must surely be included in that list of BIG, famous clubs that Adel has always believed he should be playing for!
At this minute...I am having a trouble thinking of who you mean Sooper If it is Austin...he has gone of the boil recently (lack of service maybe) Our only star at the moment is Greeno....and you could be right if he goes (and McCarthy plays like he did against Sheffield) you could be right Luckily Greeno is the right sort and will not be going anywhere
