How can QPR afford the £70k a week wages on these mercenaries if they go down? That's £15 million on wages and fees for a striker. Plus a £7m midfielder and his wages too. The season they were promoted their wages were 183 per cent of their turnover: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...use-QPR-stepping-stone-Manchester-United.html imagine their losses if they get relegated. Chelsea overspend but our revenue is now the fourth biggest in the world and Roman is a lot richer than Tony. How can you risk £15 million on two players plus wages on 15k gates. Crazy We know The FAir play rules are in place to protect clubs like QPR and Pompey rather than Chelsea and City. Let's see if they are ever implemented at national level.
They're in between a rock and a hard place! They cant afford to go down to the Championship, but they cant stay in the Prem without forking out millions for a half decent striker!
He'll leave in the summer if they go down, a bit like West Ham with Ba who left on a free after, they'll just have to take the loss if the gamble doesn't pay off. If they stay up I'd expect the bump in the £40mill clubs get in the new TV rights deal for the Premier League will make the expenditure look like a drop in the ocean if they stay in the league for another 2/3 years.
But doesn't the FFP rules only affect teams that compete in Europe? If the stay up and their owner spends a fortune it doesn't matter. It's intriguing to see what if anything this means to clubs lower down the leagues.
Jonny actually Torres form is on a career high at Chelsea. The fact he looks and acts like a donkey for the most part hides that though.
Its £8m, less than a third of an offer that was turned down twelve months ago. Still at least it wasn't £50m on a total donkey.
Whilst Fernandes is probably one of the poorer chairmen in the league, we also have the Mittals on our board, who are amongst the richest families in the world! I think that the board, between themselves, has worked out that they're at the poker table, and down to their last chips. It's all-in, or leave the game, metaphorically (I don't think they'd sell if we went down, their egos are too big for that - just as they are too big to swallow relegation without a fight), and they've decided to gamble. I just hope to god it pays off - hopefully I might be able to take in a game next year!!
Sadly its another bitter sad post by that Bluz/Londons thickest/Londons only muppet. I want to know about the 'Fire drill' or when 'Pep' is going to chelsea?
Ooh, good one. Look, I'm reliably informed you've had some sensitive personal issues of late and presumably it's contributing to your incessantly antagonistic posting. If you want to keep having a go to let it out then be my guest if it helps. It will make you look even more sad than your posts have suggested over recent days/weeks, but do what you have to do. Stay strong champ .
Give him time, Watford. Ozzie is currently in denial, and who can blame him? Coco has lodged a custard pie in his face and he doesn't yet know whether to laugh or to cry. When the hooted blows and the doors on the car fall off, then he'll know, and he'll be fine.
That's an oxymoron if ever there was, a Pikey and reliably informed Next time you have any lucky heather for sale or a yard of tarmac left over from doing someones drive give Herbert a call! He's so dense light bends around him.
It's no difference to Chelsea paying 50 million for Torres and paying him 200k a week. Pretty sad that a Chelsea fan would make such a thread about another club, it's like the pot calling the kettle black. I could understand if CFC actually generated the money they spend, but there bankrolled just like QPR are
