Just wanted to know what the general consesus/feeling was about the return of your biggest rivals to the Prem and how big the derby will be on 1st October?

I think it will be a cracker and a good advert for football for this part of the world anyway.

When did QPR become our biggest rivals?

I could be wrong, Rocky, but I thought that was a line from the Chelsea fan trying to belittle us by implying that we're more on QPRs level than Chelsea's. Of course, I may be doing him an injustice with that interpretation. If you weren't trying to wind us up, District Line, accept my apologies.

At the same time, although I'll concede that Fulham aren't competing in the same spheres as Chelsea, let's not forget which club from South West London was the last to reach a European final!

I'm looking forward to the Fulham games....

As a QPR fan, it will have a special resonance this season, as I lost my Dad in January. He had been a Fulham fan for 50 years, and we always had a bit of banter going on. He was there in '82 when we won 3-1 at the Loft and won the Div 2 title.

I'm not here to WUM you all, cos I have a very soft spot for FFC.

Good luck to you, next season, except when you play us.

    RIP DAD.....Fulham for 50 years.

    My condolences to you, tcm....

I have vivid memories of being taken to Craven Cottage a few times, as my Dad tried to turn me to the dark side!!!!!

I even went in the first season of Rugby League!!!

I've always had a soft spot for QPR, particularly after both sets of fans combined to defeat the merger in the late 80s. That said, some of their newer fans have been irritating since the arrival of money (I'm sure the same was said of us in the late 90s), which has made me less positive towards the Rs. It doesn't sound like you're the type of fan I'm talking about, mango. Nice of you to drop by.

I really enjoy a derby. Bring back memories when we visit Loftus Road! I hope they are great games.

As the saying goes.....I was there when we were ****!

Been a Hoop for 40 years....and even my Dad couldn't turn me!!

But, I'm here for the banter....not the mindless, petty rubbish that is spouted by some fans! We have had an element of the silliness creep in, since the new money came in, but you must have experienced something similar, when MAF took over? I'll always have time for Fulham fans....the genuine ones, cos they were not only my Dad's team, but my Grandad too! There's a few of you in my family ;) (Even my Mum!)

Look forward to the coming season, for a good dose of banter!!!!

I wasn't trying to belittle Fulham, I really like them and have lots of good friends that support them, I was disappointed when you didn't win the Europa League that season and games with Fulham are always difficult for the top 4 sides and pretty much anyone.

Fulham and QPR is probably the most played West London game so I naturally assumed that was probably the biggest game in the H&F area. Am I wrong?!

Fair enough, District Line. Apologies for reading something that wasn't there into your original message. I hope you drop in from time to time for banter and discussion. For me, the Chelsea rivalry has always been the more keenly felt one, although it will be interesting to see what things are like now that all three clubs are in the same division. In the 90s Brentford were on our radar a lot more than they are now, so these things do change according to divisional circumstances.

Mango, banter away, my friend. I'm sure we'll all enjoy it. Particularly if we take six points off you!

    Talking of rivalries.....

We've always felt Chelsea were our rivals, much more than Fulham or Brentford.....

They just seem to be like little brothers....We wander along every now and then, ruffle their hair, take 6 points, and go on our merry way!!!

With Chelsea, it's much more of a bitter rivalry! I remember Boxing Day 82, when Chelsea came to Loftus Road, and I watched a fan try to walk the length of the pitch to have a fight! Not seen that at a Fulham game!

Now....if THAT don't get a bit of friendly banter going.....nothing will!!!
