QPR will turn their attention to Craig Mackail-Smith after missing out on Danny Graham.

The Watford striker is poised to join Swansea after agreeing personal terms on a £3.5million move to the Liberty Stadium.

A swoop for Posh star Mackail-Smith was put on the backburner while they tried to lure Graham to Loftus Road.

But boss Neil Warnock will now renew his interest in the 27-year-old forward, who smashed 35 goals in League One last season.

However, QPR could face competition from Everton and Wigan for his signature.

Thought he had already gone to Wigan although not yet confirmed Northolt.Don't rate him as highly as Graham or Long and i think Warnock would only want him if he's been told he only has 2-3 million to buy a striker. It all sounds a bit desperate to me.The longer things go on the more i think we will be bringing in journeymen,has-beens and never was'.Hope i'm wrong but i don't feel confident Warnock will get enough funds.HOOPTONS TILL I DIE

    My sentiments exactly.

If Mittal doesn't end up buying the goons out, we are in deep trouble. We are not going to survive in the Premiership by trying to do it on the cheap. If we were serious about Graham, there should have been no way that Swansea could beat us to his signature.

If we end up pinning our hopes on a 27 year-old Division 1 striker we are in deep doudou.

I'm afraid Ciarrai that the Mittal buyout just ain't gonna happen.Warnock is going to have to perform miracles with lesser players.Kenny,Faurlin,Derry,Adel and Smith will all have to play better than last year, and the rest fill me with dread.Aback four of Orr,Connelly,Gorkks and Ramage makes me think getting Graham wasn't as important as i thought it was.

we need serious investment fore and aft, just not sure cms is really the answer (very much last choice in the Graham, Long, Morisson, Mc-Smith quartet)

This sounds a bit desperate to me. One could have some confidence that the Championship's leading goal scorer could do well in the Prem but, obviously, the jump from League One to the prem is asking an awful lot. It's shopping on a budget, the Lidl way, and, as us old b******s know, you generally get what you pay for.

Find myself having to agree with the doom and gloom merchants here! Watching the likes of Swansea and Norwich moving forward with their strategies to identify key players they need and getting them in quickly - while the only action for us is idle paper gossip and what seems like even more idle action from the board is all rather depressing really.
We are missing out on what seems reasonable priced players with recognised potential who have proven themselves at Championship level and are ready to take the next step up to the Premiership.

So what now???? I hope NW has a sound strategy.. or it's not going to be a pretty start to our first season back in the top flight. I am deeply concerned at the moment!
