Fair play, this MP is worthy of a mention just for his surname, Andy Slaughter!

    Let's hope his name is not an indication of our upcoming season.

    As they say "Some days you are the pigeon, some days you are the statue". Fulham didn't have too many days as the pigeon!...<laugh>

    @QPRFC

    Labour and Hammersmith MP Andy Slaughter congratulates QPR on promotion to the Premier League in the House of Commons ...

    PARLIAMENT has aired its political support behind QPR's promotion to the Premier League.

    Andy Slaughter, MP for Hammersmith, tabled an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons celebrating the club’s return to the top flight, ‘acknowledging the key role played by manager Harry Redknapp, staff and players, and by the enthusiasm and loyalty of QPR fans worldwide’.

    Slaughter also paid tribute to the R’s ‘wonderful contribution to the local community’ as he and the rest of west London looks forward to the return of Premier League football in W12.

    “It’s great to see Harry Redknapp’s boys back in the Premier League where they belong,” Slaughter, Labour MP and Fulham season-ticket holder, exclusively told www.qpr.co.uk.

    “Lots of my constituents are QPR fans and I was happy to make sure their success was on the record books in Parliament.

    “I only hope that my own club Fulham FC don’t take too long in joining them!”

    Good Labour man and West London born and bred so his opinion is valid and valued despite the lack of guidance from his parents on footballing matters.
