Was just wondering whether we should have a not606 QPR player of the month and maybe at the end of the season, we all vote for our player of the year?

    What do you think?

Maybe somebody could set one of those poll thingys.

My August player of the month is Nedum Onuaha.

Who should the nominees be: Onuaha, Hill, Barton, AJ, anybody else?

Ned for me, goes about his business very efficiently and because of this doesn't get the plaudits he deserves...

Hoilett, compared to last year, is vastly improved and he's the one who makes the pulse beat a little faster when he gets the ball. Next to him Ned.

Hill has been a revelation, again! A goal and some top performances in a formation that isn't really his!

The first name that comes into my mind is Barton, but then I say no, hold on, he should be that good, so it is more the shock of seeing him in the side this term and playing reasonably well that makes me single him out, so I will discount him. Hill out at left back has impressed because of his attacking intent for a supposed old slow coach, so his all round defensive display together with his assist at Bolton and his goal at Leeds also bring him to mind. Then there is Ned as well who is now playing like the player the Man City fans were sorry to be losing.

So, I am going to pass on an August player and see who stands out at the end of September when we have another few games done and hopefully a few more points on the board.

Clint...because this will be the only month he will play enough to win it....
He will be No1 Bench player from September onwards

Interesting choices. My first hunch was Onouha - good solid performances; JB has been a nice surprise; Hill has had some up and down performances across the month.
However... it's Hill for me. Despite a couple of poorer performances he has been key in getting two wins this month with a vital assist and a goal, as well as (overall) giving good performances in the LB position to do a vital job for the team. Deserved this month.

Clint hill, goal and a set up in 2 very tight games, not bad for a defender. Strange that some would consider dropping him with new guys coming in.

I'd give the award to our management team with a special mention for McClaren. Last year we had lost our soul. We were septic. No effort, no energy and no desire. TF admitted his mistakes and promised to sort it out. He has. Harry has shifted the dead wood and balanced up our squad with a great combination of youth and experience. Our team spirit looks good and our players look and play like a TEAM. I'm sure McClaren has had a very positive affect and for a team that simply could not defend last year we now look very solid. Things are looking as good off the pitch as on it.

Has to be Barton - the only playmaker we do have.

Onouha and Barton have both been very consistent and Charlie Austin has run his socks off up front, pushed for one, I'd say Barton
