Since QPR are now in the championship and foxtel in Oz will only be showing a few games this coming season... Is the QPR player worth getting? Do any other overseas fans have it? Advice would be valued? Cheers Rowan
It's really not worth the money. I can only think of one or two video's on there that have had any significance this season. It was good last season if only for the tunnel cam, but that is something they only posted if we had won. So that was used only twice this season. Most of the stuff on there is available elsewhere in written form, so if you can make do without the accompanying video I personally wouldn't bother. It's nothing short of a scam. nb. Now you've mentioned this Rowan, I wished I had thought of asking Roller to put this question forward at the communications meeting. I personally think that QPR Player should be available for free to all ST and memberships.
This did actually get a mention. They are contractually obliged to charge for it. I don't recall how long that contract is in place for, possible until 2017 like the official website.
I got it for one year...had to bargain and barter with my wife that it would be worth the money. It wasn't. She was right. Waste of money, nothing on there that can't be seen elsewhere, and if it was exclusive to QPR player, it was usually because no other media source would show something that dull. I was, as I suspect you are Rowan, excited at the prospect of being overseas, but still getting to watch a lot...I didn't.
I ve had it for the three seasons that I ve lived in oz. signed up initially coz we were in the npc and I wanted to get as much coverage as I could. But then they had the cheek to renew my subscription automatically without notifying me so I got stuck with it. Plus the content is rubbish. I m a video director and would love the chance to make content worth watching because at the moment it's a load of ****e! You rssss!!!
Great advice from you all, cheers and here's to a season of consolidation and success, not buying stupid , not thinking too big , but real success on and off the pitch.
