QPR director Kamarudin Bin Meranun has told reporters in Malaysia the club plan to send its reserves and youngsters there on loan.

Rangers have visited to play two matches as part of a three-game tour of Asia, which will end with a trip to Indonesia.

“We have more plans for Malaysia and Malaysian football. We are open to discussions and ready to share our knowledge and expertise with local football clubs here,” Malaysian media quoted him as saying.

“We have talked to a few local clubs here to share our ideas and experiences. We also plan to send our reserve or youth players to play in the local leagues.”

Its a good idea, link up to a local team and their fans will start supporting QPR.

Ajax have an African team, Real have a US team etc.

I could understand investing in a Malaysian team as a potential feeder club but seriously?

We think that our reserves will benefit from playing teams that we can beat 5-0 without breaking sweat? You'd have to go 8-10 divisions down the league structure to find anyone close to being that consistently outplayed and we sure as hell wouldn't send our players on loan there. It will zero out any resale value and I can't imagine the plan is to recoup all the money in shared wages (unless we're using the plan as a means of money laundering for corrupt Malaysians).

Might as well leave Hulse and Co. in a hut in the highlands car park for all it's worth - at least we'd save the plane fare.

As for the youth team - really? What we going to do - isolate 18 year olds? Perhaps drag a few kids out of school to go on a nine month field trip.

Happy with a pre-season tour but this article is plain stupid.

Kamarudin Bin Meranun is only marginally easier to pronounce than Ruben Emir Gnanalingam, but maybe it's the way I'm reading it.

I think that's why they're usually referred to as the Malaysian directors, and not by name.

Malay is easy to pronounce. Totally phonetic with C pronounced soft as in CH and G prounced hard as in Goal.
