City were the biggest spenders on £10,537,982 - up from £9,663,700 - with Liverpool second having shelled out £8,600,444 - an increase from £7,000,242.99. But it was Rangers, who brought in a number of high-profile signings over the summer including Julio Cesar, Park Ji sung, Jose Bosingwa and Esteban Granero, whose payments stood out, with their figure having almost trebled from £2,499,214 in 2010/11. Tottenham (£6,595,905) were fourth on the list, followed by Champions League winners Chelsea (£6,490,382), Arsenal (£5,580,873) and West Ham (£4,436,992), while Manchester United's figure dropped to £3,681,580 from £4,457,103. Promoted Southampton had the lowest figure (£646,106), with Swansea - last year's lowest spenders - second-bottom of the list despite their payments having risen from £248,633 to £1,100,845. The overall amount spent by the 20 top-flight clubs was £77,003,130 (806 transactions), compared to £71,868,749.94 (765 transactions) for the previous 12 months. Payments made by each Premier League club to agents in the period October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012 (amounts shown include payments made by clubs on behalf of players): Arsenal £5,580,873 Aston Villa £2,730,539 Chelsea £6,490,382 Everton £3,092,891 Fulham £2,581,208 Liverpool £8,600,444 Manchester City £10,537,982 Manchester United £3,681,580 Newcastle £3,485,503 Norwich £1,248,725 QPR £6,818,688 Reading £2,167,833 Southampton £646,106 Stoke £1,717,266 Sunderland £2,173,762 Swansea £1,100,845 Tottenham £6,595,905 West Brom £1,341,301 West Ham £4,436,992 Wigan £1,974,305 Total: £77,003,130 http://www.teamtalk.com/news/2483/8297170/QPR-join-big-guns-on-agents-fees-list Worrying numbers. But based on the number of arrivals it doesn't look like we pay especially more than others for each deal.
But isn't it normally a percentage of the transfer fee? So the number of players doesn't really come into it? I thought we didn't spend that much. Someone has ripped us off big time? Another stat that will have the critics all over us like a rash.
It's ok, if we're not completely delighted with our purchases we can always get a complete refund once we return them unopened within ninety days. Oh bother, we bought them ninety one days ago. Next time we'll only do our business on a sale and return basis. That'll teach them, the rotter(s)
My understanding is that it's partly on a % of the transfer fee, but you have to pay out higher agents fees and signing on bonuses for players who are free transfers - and both Bosingwa and Green would have cost large agents fees.
You can guarantee a good chunk of that will have gone to Kia jaroobchian. How Hughes felt such a con artist was a suitable individual to be aligned with the club is beyond me
Thankfully the low life has gone (no, Im not talking about Hughes!) so we should drop down the table as all the payments will be in brown envelopes from now on anyway.
Simple, they could work out a scheme where the agent gets a big cut and then some of that is then passed back to the manager.
Well said, that scumbag Joorabchian should be thoroughly invested by HMRC and the SFO. Anyone know why Brazil withdrew the International Arrest Warrent for money laundering they had out on him a few years ago? Corinthians and Mafia?
For once I must agree with our resident Islamic extremist. Joorabchian and the Taffia nearly destroyed our Club. Whilst I really like Fernandes, he shouldn't have allowed such practice in his business.
An Islamic extremist with my avatar? Fair enough you are bored with it not be the Marching Season and all but even taking into account your usual dismal standards that's **** poor trolling.
So you can say this: "For once I have to agree with our resident Orangeman*. *here's the link you need: http://www.not606.com/forumdisplay.php/6-Rangers" on more than one occasion actually yet I can't respond with something similar? Just figures.
El Pirata, I mean no offence to you and all other moderate religious people out there. Its just the fanatics (of all religions) I can't stand. Respect brother.
Do you ever wonder why you get banned so much? Trolling is the reason, nine out of ten of your posts are just to wind other posters up, you've been warned countless times but you don't care. For you it's just for the laugh, eh... Shame on you.
Hypocrisy number one: you're just back from a ban yourself. Hypocrisy number two: you called me a Christian (Protestant) extremist more than once without provocation yet when I lob a similar accusation back at you you accuse me of trolling! Give me strength. I'm not going to be drawn into an argument any further. Brix and Nuts don't want it so lets just leave it shall we?
As usual you lie. I've had a single one week ban due to a clash with yourself, you on the other hand have been banned numerous times for a month at a time. As for the religious **** don't dish it out if you cannot take it. Trolling is for inadequate teenagers, a man on the verge of middle age like yourself should know better. Shame on you.
