@eGreanero11: "Now we have no excuses, we have a new manager. Whatever we do, itâs going to be our fault." #QPR This is obviously an answer to his tweet about somebody's excuses having excuses. But I don't think is very thought through tweet coming from official site.
Yes my fault. I've seen it later on on facebook . It gets different connotations when you know it's from him.
So Granero was implying everything was the managers fault? It would explain the performance against Saints and would destroy the laughable article that claimed all the players were still behind Hughes.
You could see from his body language he wasn't happy. Just remember he went from Mourinho to Hughes. From a manager he would die for to a manager that doesn't want to talk to his players
I think the whole club should stop tweeting. From the top down. Over to you TF. Ban all tweeting and try to encourage a siege mentality that gets us some wins.
Hughes was so distant from the players, both at Harlington and at games. A video of HR's first training session shows players being given the arm round the shoulder by him and having the necessary word. Hughes clearly made the players lose confidence in themselves.
They said he couldnt wait to get rid of them if they went to see him, he wouldnt take training either. Hughes basically managed like a real life version of a football manager game when we all know its about more than that.
Yes, move on...except it would be really interesting to hear one of the players' accounts of what really went on during Hughes' reign...and then we move on...
Well theres one bloke who sent his FM CV into a Azerbaijan (**** me, did I spell that right or has my spell checker broken?!) and got the job as manager of a PL club there. So dont lose all hope.
Fair enough, discuss it. I think we should use our energy to discuss how we are going to get ourselves out of the mess rather than wonder how we got here and listen to every players opinion on a manager who has now departed. I want to hear the players expressing what they are going to do personally and collectively to improve their performances to ensure we survive. I want positive thoughts not an appraisal on where we went wrong with Hughes.
You have to know what went wrong in order to learn and not make the same mistakes over and over again. Its the same as a manager making his players sit through a loss to show what happened and then get over it. It was, thats why I was so shocked.
I am sure the hierarchy at the club are well aware of where we went wrong. That is their job. Our job as supporters is to support.
