QPR NEW-BOY BOBBY ZAMORA ENCOURAGED DESPITE DEFEAT
ABOVE: QPR's new £6m signing Bobby Zamora scored 16 minutes into his debut at the weekend It was an encouraging first-half display by us, not only the link-up play going forward but I thought we looked solid at the back as well

BOBBY ZAMORA remains confident QPR will climb the table – *despite his dream start ending in defeat.

New £6m signing Zamora scored 16 minutes into his debut at the weekend before Wolves took advantage of Djibril Cisse’s red card to win 2-1.

But Zamora, 31, insists he saw enough before Cisse’s dismissal to encourage him for the rest of the season, starting at Blackburn on Saturday.

“It was an encouraging first-half display by us, not only the link-up play going forward but I thought we looked solid at the back as well,” he said.

“I am looking forward to the next fixture now.

“We go from one big game straight into another but every game between now and the end of the season is massive.”
