    Great article Bushman!

    On the 1947 Middlesborough cup tie team-sheet I see the names of Reg Allen & Ivor Powell who my Dad often mentioned.

    Great photo from that 1948 Luton cup tie - quite the crowd, and no more than a "picket fence" to hold them back, which was likely was a good thing since at least there was an escape route when it failed, compared to say a solid concrete & steel barrier with no means of escape.
