Wycombe Wanderers squandered a two goal lead as they looked to claim their first win against Portsmouth in the Football League
On loan QPR player Michael Harriman opened the scoring for the Chairboys just before the half hour mark before turning provider two minutes later as Garry Thompson doubled the lead.
Caolan Lavery pulled one back on the stroke of half-time before Adam Webster equalised in the 55th minute with a free header from an in-swinging corner.
A tightly fought second half saw both sides create a number of half chances but neither could capitalise to claim all three points.
The game sprung to life just before the half hour mark when Harriman scored one and set up another in a matter of minutes.
A horror show from Brian Murphy allowed the winger to open the scoring from 40 yards.
The Pompey keepers attempted clearance fell to the feet of Luke O’Nien on the halfway line who mis-hit his first time effort only for the ball to roll kindly to Harriman who turned smartly and found the net with a calm finish.
Garry Thompson grabbed his fifth of the season to double the lead just two minutes later when Harriman latched on to Paul Hayes’ through ball and cleverly squared across goal giving the 35-year-old a simple tap in.
Sam Wood had a great chance to make it three before half-time but failed to beat Murphy from six yards out with a tame left-footed effort.
Lavery pulled one back on the stroke of half-time for the visitors as Marc McNulty took advantage of Wycombe’s high line to rush in on goal before unselfishly playing the ball past the onrushing Matt Ingram for his strike partner to slide home.
Thompson looked to grab his second of the game as he once again got beyond the Pompey back line but his attempted chip evaded the cross bar.
And it was all square ten minutes into the second half as Webster was allowed a free header from a Ben Davies’ corner and made no mistake in beating Ingram.
Kyle Bennett looked to win it for the visitors and did well to create space for himself as he cut in from the right but Ingram got down low to save the effort.

Meanwhile, we have Perch stinking out the right-back slot and Phillips hasn't played well for weeks.
