QPR are keeping tabs on Palermo hitman Kyle Lafferty, according to Calciomercato.

The newly-promoted side are in the market for at least one new forward as former England strikers Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson are both out of contract later this month.

Manager Harry Redknapp wants to find someone to partner and provide competition to Charlie Austin, and Lafferty has emerged as a surprise target.

The Northern Ireland international has just completed his first full season in Italy and fired 11 goals in 34 league outings to help his side claim the Serie B title in emphatic fashion.

Would have to have improved dramatically in Italy to be good enough.

Scored 1 in 3 in Serie B last season - so not exactly setting the world alight - I wonder if this is more his agent talking since a link with our name is bound to get the player's name in the papers and thus alert clubs to his availability.

Hoping Harry & Co. have a bit more up their sleeves than this.

I thought (hoped) for a moment it was a tenuous Del Piero link

You must be joking! I would rather stick pins in my eyes than see him in hoops. Very average, nowhere near Premier League quality. No, no, no, Niet Spasiba, Non Merci, Nein Danke.

I hope this is a joke, he'd be a bad signing in the champ.

For the same reason Charlie Austin wouldn't sign for Leicester this season.

Bellers, I hope that's not a sectarian thing. We seen how easily some people presumed Lennon was a bigot (a big mouth tw*t, yes) just because he was involved with Celtic.
