That almost happened in the summer, but the R's eventually pulled the plug on a protracted transfer saga with Paris Saint-Germain, after they refused to match the £15 million asking price. The difficulties over any deal come with former club Tottenham, who have a sell on clause agreement with their London rivals, which entitles them to around 40% of any fee Taarabt is sold for. However, QPR are now willing to accept a much lower figure, to get disruptive Taarabt off their books for good, and bolster Warnock's January transfer kitty. Italian side Napoli have since been alerted, but want reassurances from the player than he can rediscover the form that saw him score 15 times en route to captaining QPR to promotion from the Championship last season. A solid December should be enough to convince them to splash out the £8 million required, with PSG now unlikely to re-join the race. If SWP is not able to play this weekend, i would love to see him get one more chance on Sat. Surely his one brain cell is telling him that he won't get a move unless he shows people that he can perform at the highest level. I thought the game last weekend was screaming out for him to come on and make the diff. This situation is a crying shame and his worth is falling week by week. He starts the game, scores a hatrick, one with each foot and another off his ar*e, sets up goals for Bothroyd, Faurlin and the 6th and final goal for Paddy Kenny who decides to play up field because he is bored watching the cobwebs in his own goal. Starts at Anfield and replicates his hatrick leading to King Kenny to declare "shweshsehgudfitbalgimeundthefellyshwashcannyyerno" or something. Left on the bench for the Man Utd game but comes on with 5 minutes to spare and knocks in his third hatrick in a row leading Sir Alex to comment "washafantashticgameanallayeandthefellyfairshtuckthebootinteyush" or something. It seems that it is all over. Too many problems behind the scenes as well as in public. Maybe Neil has been told that he isn't allowed to give him a cuddle anymore just in case he is sued for sexual harassment. Thanks for what you did. A great achievement and some great memories. It could have been greater still, but if you aren't going to put as much into this relationship as everyone else then I think it is time we broke up.
Old news and old arguments....all being repeated over and over!! It does seem that NW has run out of patience with Taarabt and it looks like we won't see him in the team again. Christ we could do with someone to bring some imagination to our attacking play though!! ( And I still believe a lot of the problems stem from Barton and Adel's fear of trying anything cos he'll get bollocked by mighty gob, who has turned everyone against him!!).
