Surprised that none of you have picked up on this on QPR Report. Sorry not very good at links. It seems we are bidding for a franchise in India along with TF and Air Asia. Football in India is a big emerging market apparently. Any thoughts.
Only that this is an interesting thread, haven't read the report but would like to know more. Aside from profitable commercial activities, India must potentially be a great source of talent. Mittal influence must surely be vital.
All good news, if we can find a good player, increase our support, make some money by selling shirts, keep the Mittal's, to build a wonderful steel structure to play football in, and have better balti pies for home games, win win win
I think this is the link you want http://www.indianfootballnetwork.co...-to-own-a-club-in-the-indian-football-league/
Flow goes the other way mate. All those we players we want rid of but no one else wants can be loaned to Chennai and Mittal can pay their salaries out of his own pocket. Might come as a bit of a shock to them. Chennai used to be Madras and it is very hot indeed for most of the year.
i think you may have missed my point, It wasn't that Indians arent good players, more that they are taken on as readily as other nationalities. Now before this turns into a "racism" debate. There are plenty of ducentries that have been done by BBC etc citing this case. Just pointing out some glaringly obvious points...thats all!
