http://www.people.co.uk/sport/football/f....02039-23243240/ QPR transfer news: Shock loan offer for Sergio Canales of Real Madrid Jul 3 2011 by Alan Nixon, The People QPR are shock movers for Real Madrid’s Spanish starlet Sergio Canales – with an offer to take him on loan for the season. Attacking midfielder Canales has been told that he can leave the Bernabeu for a year as he does not figure immediately in Jose Mourinho’s plans. And Real are keen to send him to England to gain experience. Rangers have asked for Canales on a temporary basis, with a top agent speaking to Real officials in an attempt to broker the surprise transfer. Canales has also been chased by Aston Villa, with Alex McLeish poised to fly out to meet him, while Everton have a long-term interest but need their resources for other areas of David Moyes’ team. The deal would be a dream for QPR, whose owners would only have to pay his wages. Boss Neil Warnock (left) has witnessed *several of his targets fade away because the Hoops have not committed hard cash to signing them. Canales, 20, could also be a hit on commercial basis as he is one of the most popular Real players because of his model-boy looks. One potential snag is that he will probably miss the start of the season on *international duty. Canales is due to lead Spain at the World Cup for Under-20s in Colombia at the end of this month. Meanwhile, QPR could lose their star man Adel Taarabt after Paris St Germain tabled a *£13.5million bid for the 22-year-old. Warnock will want to keep Taarabt but PSG, now backed by cash-rich Qatari owners, have identified the playmaker as their top target.
Or Newcastle... MAIL Newcastle want to prise Madrid winger Canales on loan deal Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is ready to join the battle for Real Madrid's Sergio Canales. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder was bought by Real from Racing Santander ahead of Manchester United, City and Arsenal but has failed to make an impact at the Bernabeu and is available for a season on loan. Pain in Spain: Canales (right) has failed to make an impact since joining Real Madrid Pain in Spain: Canales (right) has failed to make an impact since joining Real Madrid Pardew has already completed deals for Sylvain Marveaux, Mehdi Abeid, Yohan Cabaye and former West Ham striker Djemba Ba, and is now keen on adding Canales to his ranks. However the former Irons boss will have to fend off interest from Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Everton along with newly-promoted QPR. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footbal....io-Canales.html
Bakes - Pajero was a class player when we signed him (and Ledesma at roughly the same time). At 18 years of age, in a new country with a high expectation (I mean not many Real Madrid players come to QPR) level put on his shoulders he did struggle to adapt to championship football. personally, I would expect NW to buy British, or, foreign players that have played premier league football.
although warnock did "say" that there were some europeans he was looking at, just maybe he could be one of them, but there again this is qpr, not a chance.
